I'm going to be rude and nudge the topic away from the G70 for a second....

I saw a 2nd gen Genesis (first gen of the re-design I guess) this morning and it had a Hyundai badge on the back. I thought they didn't put the H badge on after the re-design?

For two model years (2015, 2016) the second generation Genesis was sold only by Hyundai dealers and was Hyudai badged:

I had my dealer swap out the H badge for a Genesis badge shortly after purchase - matches the Genesis logo on the hood:

:rofl2: that just as bad as put GT stickers on a Mustang with 2.3 engine    :rofl2:

<Jedi mind trick mode engaged> This is not the G70 you're looking for.  There are many others which better suit your needs.  <Jedi mind trick mode disengaged>
I wouldn't worry about me - I don't have a great track record of actually buying cars...

Now, if Patrick gives away his G70 for free, you're in for a world of competition from this guy.

I'd say your track record of buying cars is nonexistent.  :P

Not to put ideas in your head, but yes, you can. My demo cars get sold off when they pass the model year change or 12,000-15,000 km, with an attractive incentive tacked on. Mine are good ones to pick up, as I treat them like gold.  ;)
OK, now you have my interest... What colour is yours going to be?
I though you didn't have conference in Hyundai engines ?

I'm in the same boat.  I've been driving the same car since 2007... This could be my year, though.  Between this and the Stinger, I've got a craving for Korean that won't be satisfied with bibimbap.

I posted my want for the G70 before I heard of my assistant's car, and also, as Patrick will tell you, Genesis is not the same as Hyundai ;)

Also, I lost confidence, not conference.

Jeez...when it was said you had to remove sway bars I thought damn! You gotta get it up on a hoist and remove S.W.A.Y "sway" sway bars to change air filters!  Was wondering if they wouldn't suck a lot of water when it rains if they're that low!  Not, 'two bolts on an under hood "brace"'.  Two completely different things. Phew! Colour me still interested!

I'd like to put my name in the mix too as an unlikely buyer of the first G70 to leave Patrick's hands!  Much as I'd like the 2nd one...the 3.3 might be perfectly adequate.  ;D

You guys might need to get in line. I took home one of the prototypes for the weekend and my daughter seems quite fond of it!  :rofl2:

yes, "SWAY" bars was a bad choice of words, but we knew what he meant as he had photos.

I heard a manual will be offer d on the G70 is this true. If so is it available on the 3.3?

Looks like manual only on the 2.0T with Sport Pkg as per Patrick here:

...there's also a 2.0T Sport model with a 6-speed manual and all the high-performance bits!

Speaking of kids, how is the back seat? I have a soon-to-be 13 yr old who has giant feet (don't tell her I said that).  She doesn't like tight back seats (the VW GTI, is too tight, for example).  I expect the Stinger has slightly more rear leg room, but how does the G70 compare to the 3-series or A4?  I know the tech specs are probably available somewhere, but things are different in real life -- even the ATS appears to have rear seat leg room on paper.

yes they are... I sat in them at the show and I found them better than my A4
