I used to...but I've also never been on a track...so maybe it was youthful enthusiasm and a lot of luck (i.e. I'm still here!  )  I wish I could still shift that fast...I think my knee would go, "Nope! Not today! Or ever. Loser".

I'd take a rattly ashtray if I could have that car.

There's another thread about this video somewhere and my comment there still stands.  If you look at the corner entry and exit speeds and pay attention to the steering angles in those tighter bends, one thing that you can see is that the Camaro has massive amounts of front axle grip.  While you can use the 650hp to get all sideways, the chassis of the Camaro is set up for tight, precise driving.  Unlike say the Hellcat, the Camaro has a chassis that is the equal to the driveline in terms of going fast, really fast.

I believe most of the critiscism comes from snobs that cannot get over the mullet/trailer park history of the Camaro. I really couldn't give a crap about that, its equal to, or greater then, a bunch of very expensive, exclusive cars from all over the planet, it sounds like an angry dinosaur and it looks just as aggressive as said dinosaur. Whinging and moaning about some interior bits or exclusivity means you didn't get it.

When GM builds a super-car and sells it for $70K, it just highlights how ridiculous those $350K cars are in terms of price.  But, you're not buying fast - you're buying a statement of how much money you CAN spend on a car - so they're not comparable products.

Camaro vs Corvette?  OMG.  Not sure how I'd choose one.  The Corvette is SO hot looking, but uh, so is the Camaro.  The Vette looks more exotic and low and wide and mean and fast, but the Camaro looks like Darth Vader commissioned a car with a back seat.

The Corvette is crazy fast, but damnnit the Camaro is too.

The Corvette has a nicer interior, but the price is higher.

Well,. lucky for me I'm spending $70-100K on a car, so this terrible problem isn't mine...
