i think the tow ratings might be wrong...the 1.5T is 1500 lbs, but i believe the 2.0T is 3500 lbs, not 2500 lbs...also, i don't think they released the 1.6D details yet, but i would have thought it would be similar to the 2.0T.

Looking forward to a comparo between the 2018 Chevy Equinox and the 2017 Mazda CX-5 in gas, and diesel engines, when we get them...

Apparently Apple Carplay and Android Auto will be a software add on when Mazda sorts things out.

BTW, that is one nasty background shot!

It may require a hardware upgrade as well. IIRC there's an auth chip required for CarPlay.

Your right.  But it should be something pretty straightforward done at the dealer.  Possibly going back to past models, as mentioned 2014 Mazda3

Aftermarket (unauthorized ) infotainment system can affect the warranty but its limited to electronic components.

appreciate the comment on the rear seat reminder.... if you forget that, you either shouldn't be driving or having a kid...

not a bad little rig. fuel economy seems pretty good for something with that capacity.

We can all make fun of the child reminder, but we all read stories about child left in cars so maybe if saves a couple of kids it is a good thing
