Escalade wouldn't be for me, but I appreciate GM putting this drivetrain in their big SUV.   

But...I was shocked how expensive it is!  I'm not sure what I expected, but a start MSRP of $220k CAD is pretty huge. 
Heck, the BMW Alpina XB7 is 'only' $193K, with similar power from a V8.

All new pricing seems out of control. I just built a Toyota Landcruiser for $98,000! That should be a $65,000 vehicle.

Should be but we have had 8 years of money being injected into the system.
