Since the ladder will be on the trailer for about a month.  I wonder how the ratchet straps will hold up in the rain.  Any thoughts?  Like rust?

So ok to leave them attached to the ladder/trailer for a couple months in the spring?

I carry ladders all year round on the cap,  just double check them when wet as they will stretch a bit

First side job of the season for me.  Grass isn't growing, so I have been asked by a few people if I clean eavestroughs.  Did 3 last year.  This was one of the bigger ones I had to do.  Took me 3 hours.  They were full.  He said they were done last year.  Recommended in his case, for them to by done twice.  Told me to come back in the fall again!  :)

Going back soon, as one of the drains is clogged.  Didn't have time to deal with it.

Hope they hire me for spring clean up, and/or cutting the lawn.  Premium neighborhood, that I just discovered.  Little further than my usual ones (6km) instead of under 3km.  But if I get a few, it would be great.  So far 9 new clients.

I put gutter guard on my house and garage last fall before the leaves started to really fall. It made a huge difference as i was constantly up there unplugging
the downspout. Some people say it does more harm than good but has worked for me so far. Not good for your employment though unless you want to  install some on your client houses.
How does guard work on snow ?
My eaves trough keep freezing solid for a couple weeks every year

Didn't effect me in any way this winter. Still froze up like yours. Eventually melts. Kept all the damn leaves out which  usually obstructs the trough more if you don't get up there to clean them out before the winter. we will see how year 2 goes.

Not a bad day.  Spent 4 hours raking, pruning the neighbours front and back yard.  With my kids with me the whole time.  Being paid, listening to music, kids playing together around you, couple of beers, can't complain at all!

Also, quoted somebody who wants everything.  Spring cleanup, lawn cutting, aerating, fertilze & overseed, and weed control.  Biggest contract I have ever had! As the backyard is pretty large.  It's equivalent to 3 regular contracts!

Been busy last few days.  And this week is going to be crazy.  I have done 7 out of 14 side jobs.  Ideally the side jobs need to be done by the first cut, except for 3. Which I am expecting will be next Friday for some clients.  Then I am Aerating 15-20 lawns next weekend.  Fertilizing and Overseeding those lawns on Monday May 7th.  Then working on the other 3 side jobs, and continuing with the lawn schedule.  52 out of 64 clients confirmed.  I didn't have time to hit them all this weekend.

Glyphosate  aka "Roundup", but just type in Glyphosate.

Glyphosate was invented by Monsanto and branded as "Roundup" in the 70s.  Patent expired and then all straight out vegetation killers including Ortho's brand active ingredient is still Glyphosate.  The Wynn government banned the retail sale of concentrated Glyphosate.  Retail Roundup available in Ontario is only 1% Glyphosate.  Weak sauce at best.  The Ortho brand was 5% Glyphosate so they banned it from retail.

I get generic 50% Glyphosate from Ace Hardware in the states for $50 USD per US Gallon and mix it with water.  Without checking I think I mix 2 1/2 US ounces for every US gallon of water.   Works fantastic and very cost effective.  Use a 3 gallon back sprayer but the max I fill it is 2 gallons.

If I wanted the "Roundup" brand then it would be over $100 US. but the % of Glyphosate is the same.

Just got after some dandelions with my bottle of Killex: 2-4-D, Mecoprop and Dicamba. and Malathion, IIRC.

I’ve had the same bottle for 5-6 years, I think, and it’s still half full. Don’t know if they still sell it here?

 for the link.    But just look at the economic insanity that the Wynn government has brought to Ontario:

Killex as per lawnproducts.ca  is $50. CAD plus shipping.  The same chemical anywhere in the USA plus an extra 8 ounces is $6.50 USD cash and carry.

Thinking about starting a thread about who on this board supports Wynn and the provincial LIBS.  They are among us, but will they come out of the closest for a shite kicking?  :)

I'd like to mention a thing or two about that disastrous greenon tax money waste.
Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach the man to fish and he wakes you up at 5 in the morning.
