Christ, thats a horrible thought.....we'd all be saddled with alibaba/wish.com Kyundai as I think South Korea hasn't done anything terrible, except for releasing the plague of their horrible cars on the general public.

Yea! I think so too! To the point where I ran the numbers to see if it "made sense" for us as a commuter in a hypothetical way.

Actually, you said "some Tesla", not "SOME Teslas". Clearly, as English is my first language, "some" Tesla is any Tesla.

You listed the 2017 Tesla Model 3, whereas the 2022, 2023 and 2024 Tesla Model 3 are all same or better than the Toyota MPGe, and with performance the Toyota can't touch.

Unlike you, I compare apples to apples.

Since my car is a 2017, it was appropriate for me to compare to other 2017s.

Even so, I did check the 2022, 2023 (no EPA numbers for 2024) and my car still betters them for economy.
