Another Ho-hum Sentra.  No thanks.  I'd take a B13 or B14 gen any day over later gen Sentras.  I had a previous gen as a rental for a month.  It felt very tinny, cheap and drove like crap compared to the older B13 or B14.

ArcticSteve, any word?  Or is that just a pipe dream?

No info. Hopefully just a pipe dream.    :shake:

Nissan needs to consolidate their lineup.  SER won't make anyone any money so I'd be really surprised if one made it out.

I thought they cancelled the SE-R?

You are correct.  There will be no SE-R version this time around.  Seriously, none of them held a candle to the original and with the current and recent body designs, why bother?

Actually one of the better sounding Nissan's IMO. Six speed manual instead of the CVT works for me (although I know I'm in a minority). One of Nissan's better efforts of late. Still not great looking, but maybe it looks better 'in person' than in the photos. Tough competition in this segment!

SV comes standard with cruise. Even then, I hardly use cruise, once in awhile when my right foot needs a break.

It's a nice looking car, but it's still pretty much a Corolla or Civic. At least with Corolla and Civic, one can get a loaded sport model with manual.

I stand corrected. Nissan's launch microsite only paired cruise with the CVT.  Official specs now show cruise as standard on the SV trim with the 6-speed. I might give it a look now - it seems decent for 17k$  :)

Oh, and no seat issue in my '08. Interior is tight and rattle-free. My only issue are the brakes - wobbly front discs, sqeaking rear drums. The car still looks sharp in magnetic gray, without the late chrome "refresh", and it does have "Je ne sais quoi" - it's a Renault after all.

I think there is definitely a stronger Renault influence in this new Sentra.
