A buddy of mine has expanded his brewery here in NB and I'm helping him brew his first batch in his new brewery this Friday.  Not many industries that I'm aware of where this type of camaraderie exists.  I love it as it's a refreshing, rewarding, and a very fulfilling industry to work it.  :)

Nice! Not Big Axe, is it?

Ah, cool. I didn't think Big Axe would be ready yet.

Should be a fun day there tomorrow brewing.  I got to know Marc as he won a Silver in my first home brew competition back in 2014.  Interesting how things change..........he was a home brewer and I was a new small start up brewery.

Flying boats should be in shediac, that was a stopping point on the way to Europe.

Yeah, he had to move his brewery from Shediac to Dieppe as there was no suitable brewery space in Shediac.

Shane, I was at a local boardgame cafe last night, and they had a cider on tap.  I'm not a fan of ciders, but this one was described as having low carbonation and tasted a lot like a sour beer.  I immediately bit the bait and ordered a 32oz stein ;D

I wish I could figure out who brews it, but it was amazing - tasted so very much like a proper sour beer, you'd never know it was made with apples.

Just as an idea - I love seeing where you take the art of brewing!

Never heard of that kind of place.  Did you actually play any games/cards?

Yup. In Toronto, there's Snakes and Lattes/Lagers (one might have closed), and in Guelph it's called "Round Table".

They have some of the usual games, but then a bunch you've never heard of and they teach you how to play. Great way to spend a bunch of hours with friends.

Ottawa has one too, called The Loft Board Game LoungE.

Sounds great.  I will try to go there in February.  Then I can spend the night at the The Brew House in Fergus.

What do you think Shane?  Propose a games night at the connected restaurants?  Nice alternative to watching sports.

That's good to hear!  I've dropped in twice before Christmas to check it out but missed Shane both times. I don't get out to the wilds of the valley all that often  ;D

I did get to meet Abby though.

I haven't tried this particular Lobster beer, but I have made one myself.  I only brewed it the one time.......for a reason.   ;D

That's a shame that I missed you Greame.  If Abbey was there but I wasn't, I must of been out delivering kegs or bottles.  Shoot me a message when you're out this way next.

Today was my bday and last night good friends of ours had us over to their house for dinner to celebrate.  They bought me a few assorted bottles of HRB as a gift, and he also picked up a growler for himself.  I thought that was pretty cool seeing that they live in the Grand Bay area and made the special trip out just to buy a few bottles of beer.  8)
