VW Eos
« on: January 19, 2018, 05:24:10 pm »
My Dad put a $1000 deposit on a 2009 VW Eos today.  Not sure why, buy hey to each their own.  It was a CPO vehicle.  He was not happy with VW program compared to Subaru, Toyota, GM (that I know of).  The pre owned warranty is 3 months or 5000km included.  If he wanted anything it all, it was extra.

He told me is going to try and work something out with sales manager.  I think any CPO vehicle should have that, if you want a bigger warranty, then that is extra.  Why buy from a dealer that doesn't give more than their little inspection? And the MTO safety certificate.

An interesting choice for sure.  I didn't know 9 year old cars are eligible for the CPO program. Sounds a bit like dealer trickery.

That's a good point.  The dealer must have added the CPO information under the description by accident.  It seems like it's over on the year, but under for mileage (has 75k).  Still though it seems CPO programs vary quite a bit between manufacturers.  And many used car dealerships include something more than an MTO safety.  Like a 30 day or 3 month warranty, some offer an exchange program (30 day).
