The price of a doughnut (honey cruller) went up at the local Dunkin' Donuts. "Oh, cuz Krispy Kreme (local competitor) raised the prices, so we felt we had room to raise ours."

Timmies for the win.

But does Timmies still have the honey cruller?  The don't have dutchies, or sugar twists any more!
Oh totally, they still do. It's the only doughnut I ever get anywhere. Granted, it's not often I eat them- today I figured its cheaper than an 8$ dessert at a restaurant, lol.

I went looking for a wall mount for the new living room TV yesterday. The TV's pretty light, only about 17 kgs, so no need for anything ultra heavy duty and expensive. I checked everywhere, not that Vernon has a lot of choices to begin with, and not one store had more than 6 or 8 mounts in stock and they were all far more than I needed. Anything more appropriate for my needs I would have to order online and wait up to a week for delivery. Since  I needed to get the mount up right away, that wasn't  an option and I was essentially forced into paying a lot more than I had to for something that was overkill by a factor of at least 3. Facking retailers sometimes... ::) >:(

They're good (and in a sense, local), but don't offer a cruller.  :(

Are you talking about a cruller or French cruller?

Watching a few road tests on the Tesla Model X....you know what, even with the boring Korean styling, I thinks its a very interesting car. Biggest thing, WTF was Elon thinking with those stupid doors?!?!?! All I see those as a huge liability as the car gets older with fit and alignment and out here in the land of -30C, ice has so many ways to cause headaches.

When they get older? I've yet to see a brand new one with properly aligned door panels.

Audi is prepping a full electric SUV (Q5?). When it arrives at a similar to Model X price, it is when they will have sold the last X.

Grumble grumble.

 ;D

I know, i know, you guys do it every day so no pity on the old guy but......

Early start tomorrow. Have to be on the road by 7am as I have an appt. in Newmarket with the Heart Dr at 9am. I don't mid early morning drives to be honest (although I'm no morning person) but I'll be going across Hwy 9 through Orangeville right in the morning rush. DEEEP breath right? Commuters.. The slowpokes doing 75 in the 80 and no room to pass them and the impatient ones on the back bumper.........ARGH!! heh.

Of course, the other side off that coin I'll be doing the return trip late morning and if I get tired of Hwy 9 I can go up and across Hockley Valley Road which I always enjoy.

Hopefully the roads will be good as we got a little snow this weekend but I think it should be fine. Otherwise, I'll have to add another half hour and don't really want to get up any earlier. haha. My main issue with early mornings is I have trouble getting up early and staying up as I get tired easily. Well, enough whine! if I get tired coming back the van has a bed in it!! HAHAHAAA!!

I just hope I'm not as tired as I've been all day today. I took a nap before supper and yet it's just after 8pm and I'm seriously considering going to bed. Just dead tired today.

Yuck. I'm not a morning person.

I prefer 08:30. Whenever I am at Corporate and when I was in Germany, I was between 08:15-08:40 all the time. Somehow that extra half-hour makes a big difference for me.
