 Lisseee.......

I filled the Olds today because I have to go to Richmond Hill tomorrow and don't get gas on weekends. BRRR!!! BLOODY COLD! I wish I didn't decide yesterday to take the Olds instead of the van as it was warm all week! BWAHAHAHAAA!!!!

So, this tank is pretty much all in town, and it already had half tank but still took 70 litres.

But weather has been nicer and my foot hasn't been as heavy so I knoew it's be loads better than the 34 l/100 km 96.8 mpgUS) it got l;ast tank. Teehee.

And yup. Much better. 19.89 L/100km (11.86 mpgUS).

The road trip tomorrow should bring the numbers back up but then again, after this trip, most driving will be in town again so who knows?

^ It seems you fill that Olds quite often, but then in another thread I believe, you drive less than 15k a year?

About once a month unless there's extra stuff that month.

Last tank was Feb 7 and today it still had 1/2 a tank. I only filled it because I have to go to Richmond Hill tomorrow about 2 hours each way.

December was an above average month as I filled it twice, the 20th and 29th.

Then back to Nov 18th.

Filled the Olds today as I have to take middle daughter to Dr's appt tomorrow. I was really hoping to get a milder day......BRRR!!!!!

So,mostly in town and few few trips here and there this month.

17.64 L/100km (13.33 mpgUS)

I been trying to keep my foot out of it but one trip taking MiLady to lunch I was having a wee bit of fun running it from 60-130ish km/h on the way home and a few days ago buried the needle during a pass on the highway so this may have had an effect on fuel mileage. :rofl2: Still, getting closer to it's summer numbers and I get a faint whiff of gas sometimes when shut off which I suspect is tied to it's needing a carb rebuild.

With my MDX after moving to Newmarket from Toronto, I've been doing more highway runs than city driving due to not having to drop off and pick up kids every day.  As a result, fuel consumption lowered from 16L/100KM to 14L/100KM.  That plus proximity to not-so-crowded Costco gas station helps with gas bill.

Hey we are tied!  Although the past 2 days with the snow removal, I did around 20km.  33L/100km! Just drive 200km highway, back to 14L again!

On a car that old that only means what? 85 mph?  :stick: Not hard to do.  ;D

....and I complain about my 3er being thirsty @ 10 l/100km.

Pretty consistent upper 7s on l'autoroute though. So ideal for my intercity week-end driving.

Wasn't any reason to run any faster especially in an 80 zone, not in Ontario. lol. Plus roads were covered in ice and drifted over with snow. Just making noise for grin factor. ;D

Company car to Jets game last night.  2012 Fusion SE.  4 guys, all 200+ lbs...28-30 US mpg...or 8-9l/100 (it doesn't do decimal points on the l/100 so is it 8, or 9 or 8.6 or 9.4 you never know) at 110 kmh.  So...100 and shittyhorsepower 4 cyl, and it gets no better on the highway than my 265 hp V6 with AWD...huh.  WTF.  V6 FTW!!   O0

Did you have 4 200 pounders in your car to compare? Otherwise don't compare. ;)

How did the Jets do?

Not in my car no.  I'm the only one in the house over 200...but even then, with the whole family, might be 150-200lbs shy of all 4 of us guys...I'd have thought that 4cyl would be better.

Jets won...snoozer of a game.  I'd almost rather spend an evening on Craigslist.

Just filled the van. It seemed to do better than it did but ah well.

Maybe not as good as I was expecting because of a lot of in town and some freezing rain.

Yeah, a different driver and other conditions can really make a difference.  We loaned our Outback to a friend to take her dog to the vet in Ottawa which took a full tank of fuel, she averaged 9.63 l/100km taking backroads and probably not going over 80 or 90.
The average consumption with me driving is 11.42 l/100km, I do a fair bit of 120kph on the 401.

Got 0.5 L/100 better driving home @ 120 kph with a tail wind vs driving to London @ 90 kph into a headwind. Yes kids, wind is a huge factor in fuel economy.

Too bad the car doesn't tell you the wind speed and direction, so one could adjust driving habits...

My Mazda3 GT uses about 20% more fuel than the 2015 Elantra I had as a courtesy car while mine was being repaired.
