"Top-of-the-line" driving experience?  ???  I think you might be standing in the wrong line.
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

I've had my eye on a 2012 with 90k for about $19k locally....tempting.

Why?

These were sweet for their time!

| don't think they were at the top of any line in terms of driving experience.  A solid car in every respect, but a driving experience that wasn't remarkable in any respect.  What would you say made the diving experience in the RL the "best" in its time?

And the review suggests that the purchase of a used example would give the buyer a top of the line driving experience now.

Well, do we really need to argue the semantics of the colloquial expression "top of the line?"

Well, we really don't need to argue anything at all.  I said I found the description questionable.  You asked why.  I answered.

Yea, I agree with Vmango. This car was so far under the radar, most people didn't realize how competent a handler this car was. It was very good.

I'm sure it was a fantastic car and it drove well and it will be reliable....but is it just me or does this not look like a Hyundai Elantra??

Lol competent and top of the line driving experience are NOT the same thing in my vocabulary.  And yes, I have driven one.  And it was entirely competent in every respect.

I'd say for handling, it was near top of the heap at the time.  Now if you add "involving to drive", well it's not that.

But for a luxury car (and not a sport sedan..which it isn't), it's very good indeed.

Too bad they sold so poorly, these would make great used buys if there was a better selection.  The pricing was all out of whack and the lack of a V-8 at those prices nuked it.

Nope. Never. Yawn.

Would go German for sure, despite the reliability issues.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

A guy in my condo building recently bought one of these -- he loves it.
