LaCrosse loved for comfort and space, but check electronics and water pumps

I knew I'd be hauled into this thread.  ;D
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Damn, I read the headline quickly and thought "Used Buick Regal review!  Let's get this party started!!"  :D

Then re-read the headline.  Much less excitement to be generated. :-[

Poor SirO.

Sounds like a fine choice for depreciation appreciation...

I agree, great used buy.  Always been on my list of used sedans to buy if I needed another one.  If the Acura TL is too expensive...

Built like a tank and almost as heavy as one. Great smooth, quiet cruiser. A Cadillac XTS without the wreath and crest badge. If you can tolerate the tortoise-like body styling, an excellent buy.
Since October 2015 the Junior PM has been in office.  Record mega-Billion deficits as he p*sses away our future.  An economy gutted. Stinky POTHEADS rejoice. We are going down the drain.

Very closely sums it up. I have an XTS VSport and my Mom picked a used 2011 LaCrosse 2.4l.  The handling is so much crisper on the lighter 4-cylinder front end of the Buick it is actually entertaining.  She is getting g 26 mpg with no highway, which is exceptioannly good.

Yeah you have to take the pros and the cons with the extra weight with all Buicks.  Sure they are quieter, smoother acceleration with V6, some nice materials, more comfortable.  But fuel economy does take a hit with the 4 cylinder and V6.  Amazing that the 4 cylinder weighs 600 pounds more than a midsize sedan, and 800 pounds for the V6.  (yes I know it's not a midsize, but not a very roomy trunk either)

FWIW, the current fwd V6 runs a bit over 3700lbs, about 300 more than my 4 cylinder Passat.
