Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach the man to fish and he wakes you up at 5 in the morning.

Can't see much... but it doesn't look like they went crazy on the Camry. Not that you'd expect them to. If it looks good it'll be in understated details that we can't make out on the video.

No doubt it'll be called bland and boring.. but then I expect that even if it had quad exhaust, hood scoop, twin turbo V12, and flames running down the side it'd still be heralded as boring... because it's a Camry.

They won't deviate too much on the design of this best selling car.  But I know the materials are of higher quality than the current car...

That's what I've heard too from a couple of posters over on Toyota Nation. Interior and materials are supposed to be greatly improved. That was definitely a weak point of the previous car even if the mechanicals were good most of the time (except some V6 models I hear).

The video, from a large dealer gathering, introduces gathered attendees to three versions of the 2012 Camry: The sport-oriented Camry SE, the range-topping Camry XLE and the eco-friendly Camry Hybrid.

Maybe the person in the driver's seat is a giant but the new Camry seems smaller somehow.  Kinda looks like the new Jetta from the side.

Akio Toyoda teased a headlight of the new Camry in a video last friday.

It does look cleaner than before with less of the bubbly shapes that made the other one look somewhat more bloated than it actually was. It's not earth shattering but perhaps the details will be very suitable to the overall shape of the car. Interior will make or break this.

Always thought the current one was decent looking from the outside TBH.

You can't just have your characters announce how they feel.

They've taken a step backwards in design.  YAWN VERY BORING.  The previous one was way more exciting.

There has been, for many years, a different and larger model for North America. The one in the video may not be the one that is destined for our shores. Time will tell, though.
I'd never join a group that would have me as a member.

I don't think that's quite right. The Camry is primarily oriented at the North American market as well as Australia and parts of Asia. Europe gets the smaller Avensis. In Japan I believe it's called Crown but it's not really a bread and butter sedan like it is in the US. Since the video says Camry I'm guessing its the North American one. Even if you're right and its not... the front and back bits and pieces may look a little different but on the whole I suspect it will be the same.

its been out for days - disgusted by the Artics for not posting it earlier.........
blah blah blah Toyota blah blah blah I feel your pain; you've got a GM, it's worth squat and you owe on it.

Dude, if the displacment is EXACT, it's not "all new".  The intake is different, the VVT is now on both sets of valves  In the automotive world "all new" often means somewhat different

I'm waiting for drives and more info about mechanical bits.  Until then, it's still vaporware to me...

How about drive = yawn.  The exterior doesn't look bad at all...the interior does need a big upgrade in this segment however.

I am interested in the mechanical bits though...wondering if they'll go all 4-cyl.

Doubt it, this car will be larger than the previous.

That describes ALL of the cars in this segment, so no shocker there...
