Was it?  So long ago...thought for sure it was 750.  Did they bump it up to 750?  Huh...probably slow in comparison to most 600's today. Then again, so too is the V-Max probably.

No..this was "back in the day" when there were extra import duties for machines over 700cc.

In Japan, it was 750cc (IIRC).
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

I figured johngenx would appreciate this, from the Sport Bike West 2017 show in Kelowna. The white Busa had Alberta plates.

They're certainly not photogenic but they do look better in the flesh.

There was a Kawasaki ZX14R at the show which looked even more unsightly. I think in general, sport bikes should not exceed 1,000 cc.

And the Super Duke 1290 R.

Naked bikes are not sport bikes! They may handle and perform the same but they in a different category. Naked bikes are generally hard to make ugly (yet Yamaha succeeded in making the ugly naked FZ-10.)

Yea, yea....but the Duke does the sport part so well.   ;D

While it's naked in class, if someone asked which open class sport bike I prefer...Duke 1290R is my answer.   ;D

Although I guess I could rock out an RC8R

Oh looks like they killed off the V-Rod. :( I didn't know about that Porsche designed engine but that must've been one hell of bike.

Probably the only Harley that doesn't feel like you're riding a tractor.

I just don't get the Harley appeal, they are horrible reproductions of post-WWII era motorcycles.

The VRod is the one Harley I've actually spent any time with.  It wasn't great.

The 'Busa I looked a was a lot rougher than the guy made out in the ad.   >:(

No accidents = road scrape on bodywork?

Well maintained = no service records at all, no receipts for oil/filters?

I didn't even need him to start it, I was gone in about 5 minutes.

ooo...Yamaha just released their new Eluder...it appears to be Yamaha's version of the HD Street Glide:

that H6 engine is pretty sweet, but i'd guess some people can't ride those...a large guy at work (about 6'5") can't ride those comfortably as he says the engine is in the way of his legs...there's no forward controls for that type of bike, aside from possibly highway pegs, but then your legs are sticking way out "spread eagle" like.

One of the only desirable HD's I've seen.  That's really cool.

This thing is goergous

i hate that it doesn't have a price.

He wants $50k for it.
it's cool and all, but i'd save up a bit more money and buy an RS3...or, a nice Mustang GT Premium with a few tanks of gas.
