You should get it, then we could get an Autos.ca off-road club going.
You said you might need another bike

A friend at work got a XR650L last year, made custom bags for it and toured Nova Scotia and Cape Breton last summer, found it way too uncomfortable so is buying an new Aftrica Twin.   His son-in-law, who also works with us has a CRF250L and wants to get a KTM 690 this year.  Looks like I'll finally have some people to ride with around here.
All my friends thus far seem to have streetbikes.

I started on dirtbikes (since I was 5 years old) and got my street bike license at 16.  I always kept a dirtbike though.  And as I went through many genres of street bikes, I always kept coming back to something dirtbike related.

There's just something golden about going for a ride and spying a trail and saying "why not?" and going for a little detour to try that trail.  Plus some of the scenery you see and the challenges of those rides.  And despite my 690 Duke being street biased, I always took it on gravel, trails etc.  They way a real motard should be treated.

I really love dual sport and Adv. riding.  It's the best IMO.
