TurtleWax Ice
« on: May 12, 2015, 12:36:44 pm »
Anybody around here use this stuff?

I've got a co-worker whose mother waxes her own car (I was floored to hear this, but kudos to her) and swears by TurtleWax Ice.

For the longest time I've use Mothers Carnauba wax (the red tin) on my vehicles.  I like the application of a paste, and the results (that beautiful soft glow), but I'm always sad that it only lasts a few days before it's gone.  BUT, I'm interested in hearing if anyone else has used Turtle Wax Ice and what their results were...  Would you recommend it over a traditional paste wax?  How long does the shine last before losing it's luster?  How does it compare cost-wise to Mothers?

Here you go. My review of products on previous thread.

Tried a number of products and keep going back to NuFinish. It is my favorite. Relatively easy to apply and buff, nice shine and holds up well. Oh yeah and it is not expensive.

Mr 1 TSX agrees.....

The best "budget" paint polish I have used is NuFinish. Quick, cheap and easy.

I'm currently using TW Ice and found it to be a nice product -goes on easily, stands up quite well and leaves no white residue so no need to get out a used toothbrush for detailing.

Here is an old thread where I expounded on how much I loved using it on the old Jetta (with dark blue paint).  The key was applying it VERY sparingly.  Would (and will) use it again in a heartbeat.
