By the time the Cybertruck is out, how many other manufacturers will have a decent electric (only) truck available?

Rivian is taking pre-orders for the RT1.  I've read its to go on sale in late 2020, but who knows.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

I wonder how many of these new companies will be around in a few years once the big auto manufacturers start putting out electric trucks.  My guess is none.

Maybe, but Tesla has been pushing the boundaries of battery tech for years, most more established companies haven't caught up yet.

Their next growth curve will be moving away from lithium/nickel/cobalt to the next generation (sulphur / silicon / graphite / flow etc). Ford et al will be happy using older more tested tech, they won't be innovating as much.

Agreed. If Rivian had been out by now, they would have gotten a great early advantage.

Hi Everyone!

This is an interesting topic and yes electrical mechanics are up on the move but why are they or should be better then the usual fueld ones?
Or counter question what makes them better than the Hybrids and which one of both would you rather choose and why?
