About a month ago I got a $1000 Hugo Boss suit at Simon's in the Rideau Centre for $300...

do you live at that simons :stick:  ;D

LOL!  It's on the way from work to home and has become a bit of a Friday evening ritual to stop in and see what's on the sale rack...

I guess that's better than my Friday evening ritual of stopping in at a Pub for pints... might even be cheaper  :rofl2:

I'll take pints with the boys over clothes shopping any day of the week  ;D
Lighten up Francis.....

We use a modular clamping system for some of our components, and at times space is a bit fussy to undo the clamps.  So I got myself a nice tiny ratchet to get the job done!

https://www.fcssystem.com/en/

Nice little ratchet, what brand?
I got it at Princess Auto...But didn't get Powerfisted. [emoji2] I forget the brand.

Couldn't find anything this small anywhere else.

I bought one a bunch of years ago. Really handy to have.

The Snap-On truck was at work one day, so I figured what the hell. It was around forty bucks, but it's a nice little ratchet.

Only Snap-On tool I have, and don't plan on getting any more. But it's fun to have at least one. ;D

If No-San were to buy something like this there would be a 20-page thread about it beforehand...

Just ordered one of these.  Should be some good fun to work with.  Also got a much better price from an authorized reseller.

I recently bought the Tab E.  Case is on its way from Amazon.  Also bought some extra memory (128gb), and an Anker PowerCore II 2000 portable charger.

Just discovered my Bose Mini Soundlink does not charge via usb.  On the 1st gen, its for firmware updates only.  On the 2nd gen you can charge via USB or the AC adapter.  Oh well.

Hopefully an engineer got a slap upside the head for that!

The Ring doorbell is quite good.

I'm pretty impressed with this gadget.  It's nice to see something work as advertised.

Subwoofer for the garden anyone?... :rofl2:

I'd love to meet the person that installed one of those so I could hear it. I guess this is what you do when you don't know what else to do with your money.

Update on my sidestand project.   It works, but needs some tweaks.
I'm going to shorten the spring link by about 10mm, I also have to either add about a 15mm thick foot to the bottom, or make it adjustable length.
I'll also machine a relief to allow it to pivot up a bit better and clean up my lousy weld. (TIG welding  without my readers no longer works, damn)

Looking good.

Maybe make the foot a bigger diameter too...so it doesn't sink when you're parked in the soft stuff.

Hmmm, I wonder if any clutch pedal pads would fit the foot?

That's actually a good idea, I'm always searching for a rock or stick to put under the stand when parking on the beach or in a muddy spot.

I've never seen such a flimsy sidestand mounting design.  I guess it's lighter, but the stand on my DRZ is built like a tank compared to this one.

I'm an idiot.  I had made a mold similar to that...except it had a little loop at the top that clipped around your belt loop.  It's still by far the best one I've ever seen.  I had maybe 100 of them shot in try-outs.  They worked awesome and people went nuts over them.  But where I had made it went out of business...and the bankruptcy trustee wouldn't release the mold.

This is a Canadian made (Long Branch Arsenals, Toronto) 1950 Lee Enfield MK 4 No 1*. It went through a factory refurbishment in Sept 1960 (inspection tag still attached) and then was sent as military assistance to Greece where it was coated in preservative cosmoline and placed in long term storage. Recently sold off as surplus, several cases of these were imported by a west coast dealer which is where I came across it.

Unmolested  and not modified as a sporting rifle like so many were it's a little time capsule of Canadian history. Rifles like this went ashore on Juno Beach  and defended Hill 355 in Korea.
