How is that even legal. I mean it isn't, but how is it even allowed on the road, surely that cannot be safetied as is.

About the only black mark against it.

My Wife had a Honda like that when we were dating. It’s actually not a conventional automatic, you have to manually shift it between the three available forward gears. Remember taking it up to the mountains camping, first gear at 30 km/h foot buried to the floor. She still fondly remembers that car. Her Dad killed the transmission trying to rock it out of a snow drift.

I kinda miss the feeling of riding around in cheap little cars like that.  I had a few friends whose parents would drive us to various events.  One had a K-Car, like a Valiant or something - the noise that thing made as it tried to keep up with traffic - it was endearing in its own, four yorkshiremen, kind of way.   But it by no means compared to the Suzuki Swift (MT) that one buddy's Dad drove.  We'd go on the highway regularly with that thing.  Oh, Man, the memories.  The risks we took.  Get hit by just about anything in that Swift, and we'd all have been dead.

Did the Swift at least have the four cylinder? IIRC that was the main distinguishing feature from the GM-badged versions which only had the 55 hp three cylinder.

Those are pretty rare. Rented a Avis spec Regal a few years back and came away extremely impressed by its performance, the interior however was a bit of a letdown.

Been thinking of importing one of these. We never got the Tour X wagon here. Bugging my dad in law to find one down south. They came with a turbo 4 and all wheel drive. it’s a neat unit. They typically don’t command huge money either.

All we need is Jaeger and Sir O to battle it out in a Regal thread. Those were the days  :rofl2:

Something a little different: a German-market Corolla liftback. Powered by a 1.3L 4E-FE inline-four that was factory rated at 85 horsepower and 89 lb-ft of torque.

Fugly little thing really. The greenhouse almost looks like the Geo Prizm 5dr we had in North America for a few years. That was a collaboration between GM and Toyota so maybe some relation.
