I find the domestic sites (GM, Ford etc) almost impossible to use their 'build and price' calculator, and they've swamped everything with cryptic options.

Audi and Infiniti do not have a build calculator - not sure why they are hiding.

Volvo does not display taxes on the lease calculator - very sneaky. Ditto M-B.

Most helpful sites are Toyota, Subaru and VW for build and price estimates.

Yeah, they do.

I only know that as I've been on both of their sites, including Lexus, building cars recently.   :)

Ford Fusion - right now I don't need a car, but if I were to hypothetically buy something it's the frontrunner. There doesn't seem to be a lot out there in this segment with AWD.

Ford Escape - oddly, cheaper than the Fusion. But I'd rather a sedan than a CUV.

BMW/Audi/Mercedes - because one can dream...

Kia Soul and Rondo, Maxda3 Sport and CX-5, Hyundai Elantra GT, Volkswagen Golf Wagon, Ford Escape and Focus., Honda CRV. I want to replace the Versa, hopefully sometime this year. It depends on a few things happening, so we'll see how that goes.

The Mazda site is good, Kia's sucks wind. Finding their 'build and price' section isn't nearly as straightforward as it should be. No 'build and price' available on the 2014 Soul as yet, or maybe I just couldn't find it.  ;)

Well, at least you don't have a build-and-buy problem like me!  :rofl2:

Just paid a visit to the Hyundai build and price.  The colour selections now are aggravatingly slow.

Build and price for Chevrolet and GMC trucks is absolutely HORRIBLE! It's painfully slow and jams up.

Just spend some time looking at some older (2008 ish) Forester XT and Legacy Wagons.   Would it be wrong to sell the GTI and replace it with a Legacy Wagon? Hopefully the new wagon makes it to Canada soon.

i go on all of them constantly... either to do comparos, or just professional curiosity....

or to pretend it's comparos and professional curiosity.

i even go on my own brands, even though i have all the code books and software to build it directly... i like to see what the customer will see.

i don't like any of the ones with small print/boxes to check for taxes, including freight, etc... also not a real fan of all the accessories you can add on... just complicates things... just keep it to factory options and packages.

all have been ok... expect bmw... as others have said, sucks. i have to attempt with different browsers and i usually just give up...

Yes!

I've always liked the older generation Forester's and Legacy's. But, IMHO, it wouldn't be worth it to trade your GTI now.

Genesis sedan yesterday... under offers they said upto 11,000 off on the 2013 models.Adjusted for that and looked at the final price..
I was a little surprised that the base model is not  as luxurious in  as i thought it would be. Higher level trim levels have the really good stuff.

e.g. you need the tech or luxury package to get rear heated seats but i think it is standard in sonata gls which is 26K before all the discounts

didnt come back impressed..
