What's my dad's car worth?
« on: March 23, 2024, 07:25:02 pm »
As you know, my dad is dying. Today I got the "sell my car" phone call.

It's a 2018 Camry LE with 75k. No damage, clean, all maintenance on time at dealer, etc

How much should I ask?
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

$22k?  Seems reasonable based on a search around here.

What's the market like in your area?

For Camry? No idea! LOL [emoji38] But I was in the ballpark of what you posted.

Have reached out to our resident car sales people on the forum for input too.

Sorry to hear that. I missed it

Don't you want to keep it?

No, it's his car and I hadn't planned on buying a Camry.

Still have the Prius for DD duty.

Thanks for the kind thoughts

You could push for $23-24,000. Low Millage and FSH. Dealers start around about that for a decent low millage ones.

I rarely see newer Camrys around. No idea on price but I don't think they are in huge demand. Would make a great Uber XL if it is the 4 cylinder.

LE is de facto 4 cyl., gas or hybrid. The V6 hardly sold in Canada and was only available on XLE, XSE and TRD.

Big car small engine, like Europe was (is?). With gas prices going to $2/L makes sense.

Ride with a Toronto cabbie with a 2.5 camry and you'd swear her has a HEMI

Experienced that in Quebec City once. It was a 2nd gen Prius though.
