If I am not mistaken the spare sits on top of the engine. That is unique as well. I do not know how the rubber does not get cooked.
I always had a weak spot for Renault 5's back in the day.
Can I ask what the term rotisserie restore means?
The regular R5 had its spare over the engine, like early Subarus did. With the Turbo being a mid-engine car, the spare is above chassis reinforcements up front, under the hood.
A rotisserie is a jig that allows the restorer to spin the vehicle shell for repairs and painting, like this:
It also became a synonym for a full-on, stripped shell restoration, as this car received.
