Spent the entire afternoon in 3 dealerships getting a price to fix the Polo. Was in the highway in a "stop and go" traffic, looked to the side when I shouldn't and end up hitting the spare tire attached to the trunk gate of an SUV. Since I was at a dealership, asked for the price of dash cup holder and brought it home, took like 10 seconds to install:

Okay... I WANT one of those.  Right now.   :)

Too bad it doesn't fit on the Jetta...   :'(

New wipers. Looks better than the original ones, feels like it grips more on the windshield, thus it cleans better and produces less noise.

Not when my car is a 5-speed.  I need to clutch and shift.   :)  Right now, I sit the cup on top of the "ashtray" lid, or against the parking brake between the seats and try to hold on to it when stopping or turning.  Precarious, at best.  I don't always have coffee/soft drinks in my car, though, but a decent cup holder would be nice to have the odd time that I do.

You mean if you contribute nothing for a few years then your max / year would be capped at $10k until you catch up?

This I have not heard anything about.

It's only $5,000 per year (for now - it will be indexed to inflation). But your spouse also gets $5,000 per year, and unlike RRSPs there's no rules to say you can't put your own money in his/her TFSA. So you can think of it as $10,000 per year, per couple, if you like.

Well, after a loooong delay because of inclement weather and FedEx being...  well, FedEx, I finally took delivery:

New headphones with integrated mic, call answer and play/pause/skip controls for the iPhone.  FedEx has been sitting on them since the 19th, so it's nice to finally have them in hand.

That said, I'm a little underwhelmed with the sound.  They're better than the stock iPhone earbuds, of course, but not as good as my $40 Panasonic in-ear headphones that bit the dust last month.  And these cost considerably more than those ones.  :/  Unfortunately, finding headphones with the integrated mic and controls is very, very difficult, and these have some of the best reviews on the web.

I'm sure I'll grow to like them...  better than the $10 pair I've been making do with in the meantime...  :D

Drove to the store for this today instead of buying online.  The minimum shipping and handling charges would have came out to 70% of its cost.  It has slots for SD/SDHC, miniSD and microSD.

First time I see one of these with the card inside, most of them have an opening on the side. Great.

I agree.  Makes it really clever for a flash drive, too...  SD cards are so widespread and inexpensive these days, it's a far better idea to have one reader like this that will handle all of them, instead of a USB flash drive and an SD card from your camera or whatever...

Not at all. My logic was a bit impaired yesterday  :-X  Come to think of it I should have been more specific on the title and use a fine print  ;)

According to their website,
Frequency response: 18 - 22 000 Hz
Nominal Impedance: 16 Ohmns
Max. Sound Pressure Level: 106 dB

Whatever that means.  I've been listening to them a bit more, and am growing to like them more and more.  I did read somewhere headphones need to be "broken in", and have a different sound right out of the box vs. after 100 or so hours of use...

:( thats a little narrow. I bought a set of Denon ears (closed type) and IIRC they have 5-25k Hz. Not the most convenient to wear, but bass is deep and natural.
Try pushing them deeper in (seriously) and it will improve the sound.
