Cool!!  Now you won't turn the nannies back on... since the brakes should now hold up strong  :rofl2:

New brakes...so I won't need to bring a spare pair of underwear with me on Sunday then!   :rofl2:

What did you get, OEM Audi stuff or did you upgrade anything?
Dusty Audi OEM stuff for now since I didn't have time to shop for what I wanted.  Hawk HPS next spring.  I'll make sure these ones are properly bedded in before we head for the track!

Yes, you remembered my OMG moment at the end of Rocky Road.  I managed to get the car turned but I late apexed grossly as a result.   I was able to manage the brake fade afterwards but it turns out there was very little pad left and the rotors (front and back) had a lip around the circumference, the rest of the surface having been ground down over time with the pads.  Nothing unusual there....just time for a change.

Oem pads?   HPS also suck.   You need better pads.   Try stop tech performance pads

I found the HPS were a good compromise (HPS = High Performance Street).  I've read all the threads and back-and-forth and arguments about how Hawk are overrated etc etc etc., but they were nice with my old TT so why not try them again?  Unless Hawk has gone downhill?  Just asking....honestly don't know.  I don't want squeally brakes when I'm doing the DD thing.

The stoptechs are way better and cheaper.  I don't know if Hawk has gone downhill but everyone else that has used the HPS has basically said they lost their brakes by corner 5 on the second lap.

The stoptech are street performance pad as well, but are amazing on track too.  No squeal until they get hot on track.

Way cheaper than the OEM.  Roughly 1/2 price!

Yup.  Was $50 a set for my RX8 shipped to my door.  I did a few sessions on them, strong brake no fading.

$1000 each at the dealer. I bought 2 on ebay a month ago on a hunch. $250 all in shipped to my door from the UAE. Donor car had <70K kilometres on it. My car has 150K kms so they were due. I lucked in!

This. On heavier/faster cars, HPS don't cut it.  I even found the HP+ don't quite cut it.  I personally use the Ferodo DS3000, but they are quite loud for the street.

I had Ferodo DS2500 on the FR-S.  Worked quite well (but the FR-S is a bit lighter at 2700 lbs) and was quiet on the street after a track day.
Don't fight it.  The sooner you get it the better.

Thinking I should buy a lottery ticket.  Figured I made my own luck this time.  I'm now trolling around on eBay, etc., to see if I can find a pair of front Magnetic Ride struts.  Some people do a Magnetic Ride delete and buy coilovers just because of how expensive they are but hoo boy do they every make a difference.  Not only are they dual-mode (default and sport mode) but they're also actively adaptive in both modes.  They are super firm at the track and it will just get better when I get the H&R Sport springs installed late next week.
