Tag Tracking system for cars
« on: March 13, 2021, 11:41:02 am »
My friend just called me to advise that his insurance company encouraged him to get tag tracking installed on his new car.

https://www.tagtracking.ca/

It is the first I have heard of this. Last time I bought a car I had Sherlock etching done. But this system actually has a GPS tracking system. From what I understand it cost about $350 to install but insurance is reduced by $200 (in my friend's case). There are no annual fees through life of 5 year contract. What happens after 5 years I have no idea. That is not explained on website.  >:(

The web site claims 100% vehicle recovery rate. I find that hard to believe. I cannot find any reviews on this product. Must be pretty new as I cannot even find a U-tube video.

Does anyone have any experience with this product?

If you want more in life you have to make an effort.

Yeah I mentioned the " Big brother watching you" issue to my friend. Definitely opens up a bunch of possible problems. I would think even police may want their data in case of a crash.

It seems cars are now coming with tracking enabled. Don't like that.
