Considering his record that is a really good rate.

Back in 2004ish I got a letter from our insurance company indicating I had 60 days to find another provider due to speeding tickets or sign an exclusion not to drive my WRX  :rofl2: My broker found me another provider but it cost me $3000 for a year  :P

Especially for Toronto itself. ( The real place not just the GTA)

And we don't know the severity of the tickets or the accident.

So you got ANOTHER speeding ticket?  So that's 3 in 2 years?

FFS......

Man, why are you guys laying into his driving record.. 3 tickets in two years could be due to excessive speeding through school zones or it could just be $hit luck.  Either way, it's not great but it's not horrible.  I don't get the vilification.

I'm really just looking for some sound advise, not to be punched in the neck. C'mon.

My accident was in 2010, didn't involve another vehicle, and was a stupid claim. I didn't have the cash to cover the damage, so I used my deductible.

My tickets, although stupid, happened. What can you do. One was in 2012, one in 2013 and one just a couple weeks ago.

Regardless, the consensus here is if I call up TD and switch my wife to my policy, her rate will go up??

Agreed, I was very unlucky and got 3 tickets in 18 months. Two were radar traps in a OPP honey holes and another while passing a line of cars and transports.

i agree about getting the ticket while passing trucks is stupid, but how could you get trapped by honey pots!   :stick:

Since you are a high risk driver, I would try to keep you and your wife as separate as possible.

No lack of luck involved when you're speeding...you knew you were exceeding the limit. More than once. And didn't learn your lesson.

Because of that, you have to pay the piper now.

Wait, so is it good for me and my wife to be on the same policy or not? ???

I love how Ontario insurance is so crystal clear in its details. ::)

 ::)

Other than in town, I exceed the bloody slow speed by 20 everywhere I drive.  The LESSON is the speed limits are ridiculously LOW.  In one horrible day, many moons again, Frank Miller's CONS brought Ontario "highways" from 60 mph to 49.8 mph and 400 series from 70 mph to 62 mph.

The LESSON is we Ontarians are a bunch of LOSERS in that we continually put up with all these outrageous restrictions, the "street racing speed law" being the TOPPER.

In my day, at the same age of the OP, I could have 1 real whopper of an accident and 7 speeders in 3 years and my rate would stayed put.  But look how things have changed. LOSERS  :)

What's wrong with you tonight  ???  :rofl2:     Can't a husband drive his wife's car to gas up, or her funeral  even.   What has this province/country come too.  :P.

 :rofl2: :rofl2:
HAHAHAHA!!  Yea, sure he can.  Was just wondering why it was a "deal breaker" type of thing... :rofl2:

F-you, BTW.... ;D :rofl2:
