If I know anything about 2001 Civics, and I don't, it needs a fart can, Greddy, K&N and Alpine stickers, a huge wing, a primer coloured body kit, and Altezza lights.

Just trying to help, man.  ;D

We are leaning towards that way for the beater rally. Full gawky Fast & Furious treatment. Should be reversible after with the spare hood and trunk lids. So bring on the suggestions. ;D

Fantastic.  This will be extraordinarily entertaining.

An obnoxiously loud exhaust with minimum 4" diameter exhaust tip is required.

Given I will have to drive it the large exhaust might be for looks only.

Given I will have to look at it parked in the driveway the cosmetic additions won't happen until a couple weeks before the rally in August.

164K kms not 16k kms. Still the mechanicals are better than the cosmetics.

Still low mileage.  Our Forester is only 2 years older and has an extra 266K-kms on it!

It is! I am hoping to make it a little more respectable looking but not go overboard.

I got the radio working.

I started to go through the website that SKYMTL posted. I then discovered there was a card inside the glove box with the code on it. Entered that and it worked. Nice.

Don't lose that card, you'll need the code again if you ever have to change the battery.

Neighbours know a rich guy who bought his high-school kid a new Golf R. Insurance is $5,500 and the car is in the dad's name! My first shitbox was a Mazda GLC, paid $225 of my own money for it. Kept 4 years, sold for $400. That Golf R may also be worth $400 in 4 years.

Neat, reminds me of my first car. A 15 year old 1986 Civic with chunks chipped off the hood. Spent a weekend with fibreglass and rattle cans of exact match paint fixing it, looked pretty darn good when I was done with it.

Taught the boy how to do an oil change tonight. Filter is somewhat annoying and messy to get out. Spoiled by the easy access of the Mazda. The engine needs a clean!

That Civic has providing reliable transportation for the oldest boy for many months until it didn't ...

Interesting issue with the 2003 Honda Civic. Car died and all electrical except for horn and brakes lights out. Turns out the battery fuse was blown. Oddly it appeared just fine until I unscrewed and removed it - then it fell apart.

(middle bottom held by two screws)

The offending fuse. Will probably leave the Dent household (the wife's hates it due to extreme ugliness).

Took the blue coloured winter rim/tires off.

This problem doesn’t seem to be uncommon in Hondas.

We owned our Nissan Quest for something like 6-7 years. I think I owned my Neon and Z28 for 3 years.

edit - looks like we put 8k on it in two years.  ;D
