To be fair, I leave for home around 4:30.

I'm usually 7:30 - 3:30... used to do 7:00 - 3:00... but here at the new gig no one really gets in until 9ish  :banghead:

I'm sitting at my desk by 7:10.  ;D
Yuck. I'm not a morning person.

I prefer 08:30. Whenever I am at Corporate and when I was in Germany, I was between 08:15-08:40 all the time. Somehow that extra half-hour makes a big difference for me.
I'm at work by 7 as well.  It sucks some days.  But I do like walking out the door at 3:00, and being home by 3:30.

The worst job for hours was when I worked for ScotiaBank what seems like a hundred years ago now.  As the "AMO" (Assistant Manager of Operations) for the branch, I basically supervised all the various goings-on in the branch.  The actual branch manager mostly went for lunch and schmoozed people and had nothing to do with the dealing of the bank.

I usually arrived by 5:30am and rarely left before 7:00pm.  On Fridays, the branch was open util 6:00pm for counter service, and the tellers were all super busy - meaning someone would be out of balance.  That meant I had to supervise a "cross-tick" of every transaction.  Since the bank was so busy every Friday, I had to run around putting out fires, and didn't get a chance to get to all the crap piling up on my desk.  So, I'd often leave at 9:00 or even 10:00 Friday evenings.  I'd usually take home a couple boxes of reports to go through and spend 6-8 hours at home on the weekend working.

If something unusual was going on, like an audit, then my hours got longer.  I remember the auditors showing up at 6:00am thinking that they'd be at the branch first and could tape everyone's desks shut before anyone arrived.  F-ckers were too late, I'd been there for a while already!

For $24,500/yr I worked a minimum of 60 hours a week, lots of weeks close to 80.  That's the equivalent of $40K in 2016 dollars.

Geez, so many early birds on here.

On week-ends when I let my body just sleep till its normal time, I don't get up until 08:30-09:45. And this is just going to bed at midnight (normal).

Up at 5 to walk the dog, in the office by 7:30, usually leave by 6:00 or 6:30... plus longer hours when travelling and the odd later night or weekend. I work a lot.

Not a morning person whatsoever.  Never have been and never will be.   I prefer to start my day around 9:00-10:00, and being your own boss I can thankfully do that.  My wife on the other hand is up ever day at 5:30.   :hurl:

Totally missing rush hours going to and leaving from work. It just doesn't get any better then that.

Hmmm, I kinda think that it does...

I walk to work in 20 minutes.

With my dog.

Only way it would be better is if the cats would walk with us as well!

When I found out I was a night owl...I decided (20 years ago) I was only going to work nights.  And that's what I do.  I only work nights.

Winner!  :winner:

I once volunteered to work night shift to look after a server room when one of the regular guys left for another job.  I was to work by myself and my only condition was that I be allowed to bring my dog with me to work.  We both really enjoyed the late night walks around the neighborhood.  It only lasted for a few months, but I really enjoyed being able to bring him with me.

I wish I could bring a dog to work, but I really don't work think dogs chasing fork trucks around the plant would go down too well.
I have to be there by 7 o'clock, either AM or PM  get off at 7:30.

^ I'll definitely be bringing Abbey to the new brewery every day once it opens.  No sense in leaving her home by herself every day when she can roam around the brewery freely.

Had a couple of meetings at the brewery today and there is two handicapped parking spots in front of the Gastropub.  I noticed a Corolla ahead of me pulled into one of them while I went ahead and parked a little further down by my brewery.  Walking by I noticed that the Corolla had a handicapped sign in the rear view mirror, but then two young guys (probably in their early 20s) got out of the car.  They clearly weren't handicapped in any way.  I mentioned to them that they should be parking in a normal spot but they brushed me off.  I wasn't going to get into any argument right before a meeting, but simply went in and told the owner of the Gastropub about it and he forced them to move their car to another spot.  Idiots.   ::)

Yeah, don't antagonize drivers in your area, they can go a bit nuts
