The addition of the 2.5T is definitely welcome. And it's still one of the best looking cars in its segment.
However, I can't help but think the new Accord will drink the 6's milkshake.
In terms of sales numbers? Or straight line speed? Or both?
If it's sales numbers, it's not really Mazda's goal. Sure everybody wants to increase their sales. But I expect Mazda would be happy if they could hit around 60k US sales yearly, and around 6k Cdn sales yearly. Considering how sedan sales have declined year after year.
With these new trims, the actual transaction prices, Mazda hopes to increase.
If your talking straight line performance, yes I would agree that the 2.0T in the Accord would be probably be faster than the turbo in the 6.
