I can see it from my home PC. Weird.

In any event, Congratulations man. Very nice ride.

The MX-5 now has a big brother.

Congrats buddy, great choice and I LOVE that colour.  One of my closest friends has one as well as my father in law, both are loving it!

Congratulations! Being a Mazda, I expect it has an excellent ride/handling balance. Color looks great!

Now I see it!  Congrats!  Bet ya can't wait to zoom-zoom the Subie off your driveway.   :rofl2:  I totally expected you to get a Soul Red, though.

Out of curiosity (and you don't have to answer) are they giving you a good price on your trade?

^ i had to resize the pic - now seems to be working.

We almost went with the Soul Red, which does look great in person. But.. both my Mrs & I agreed that we thought we'd get tired of it.
The grey just looks really good on it, even though it's not really a colour... (and when i first saw it on the MX-5 i was instantly sold).
It also has the bonus of hiding winter gunge better when its covered in salt & crap.

I will miss the Subie a bit.  But its daily annoyances meant it needed to go.  Timing was right at the moment too.
The CX-5 does drive sooo much nicer.

I had the car cost info as per usual, so was able to make a quick and painless deal.  The dealership here is really good to deal with.
I had a net number in mind to end up at and did land there.  Had to throw in my snowtires though - was surprised they wanted them.  Saves me the (small) hassle of selling them.
Gave me $18K on the Subie, which is a fair black book #
I wanted to end up at $18,000 net (plus taxes) when all was said and done, and that's where we landed.  Happy with that.

Should get it by Wednesday as they have said they want it gone by end of month.

Well done!  It is a very nice grey and shows off the lines nicely.

Don't forget to post crappy phone pics of the interior when you finally get it.  Does it have red accents?   ;D   :rofl2:

Holey $hit.  How'd this thread get to 26,000 views. ?
So, since this appears to interest people, here's an update.

Had the MX-5 out yesterday for a good drive.  Gotta be happy getting it out on December 3rd.. 7 degrees & sunny... & yes -- top down.
Stopped at one point to look at Christmas trees.  This was awesome in my mind at least.. :P  looking at trees, then hopping back in the droptop.
I did think about buying one just to haul it home sticking out the passenger side...

Had quite a few people looking at me driving by with a "That Guy Nuts" look on their face, but it is plenty warm in the cabin with heater cranked, top down & windows up.
Only chill is the breeze blowing by on the top of your head.

Still love driving this thing.

Mileage is at 14,870,  so I only put about 6,200 km's on it this season.  Didn't seem like I drove it that much less, but might be because we had such a lousy spring this year.. April & May were brutal, lots of rain and below normal temperatures.

It is now officially parked for winter.  Tires pumped to 45 psi, battery maintainer on, red cover in place and wheels chocked.  See ya, bud.

Battery maintainer I get...but why pump the tires up? Why chock it?  Is it going to roll somewhere?  Does it keep the tires rounder over winter? (why not put it on jack stands then?)  Really...why?  I've never heard of putting more air into my tires for winter storage.  I put them away at 35...I wake them up, yup, still 35.

I assume adding more air prevents flat spots.

Really...why?  I've never heard of putting more air into my tires for winter storage.  I put them away at 35...I wake them up, yup, still 35.

New cars are shipped from the factory with at least 40 psi or the max pressure listed on the tire.  Part of the PDI is to lower the pressure.

Yep - helps prevent flat spots.
It is parked in neutral with e-brake off.  I put a piece of 2x4 behind one wheel as a 'just in case'
