Sadly, I'm in the same group.

Ditto for aesthetics.

General anesthetics I've never had an issue with, but locals, lots of problems.  I've found this out quite a few times unfortunately.  The worst time was about 15 years ago when I had a cyst removed from my back.  They kept giving me more and more and every time the surgeon cut, it hurt like hell.  They finally switched to something else (not sure what they were using, or what they finally used) but it did a better job - still not completely numb, but better.  I've only had dental work done twice in my life and the dentist remarked that it took an immense amount of freezing.

Same. IIRC, IQ said a small percentage (5 percent? ) suffer from this.

Childhood was hell going to dentist..basically nothing ever frozen. And because I was a kid, they didn't believe me when I told them I wasn't frozen/I was hurting.

I know better now, so when I got to dentist I specifically ask for a procedure called a nerve block.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Did you mean to say that or was it a typo.   I can certainly imagine being immune to aesthetics!

a set of principles concerned with the nature and appreciation of beauty, especially in art.
the branch of philosophy that deals with the principles of beauty and artistic taste.

I know a woman who had open stomach surgery...she was out...but she wasn't.  Gave her something to paralyze her, but she was awake and in severe pain the entire time, and unable to move or signal anyone something was horribly wrong.  Scary shi#.

Yea, I was awake once during surgery. No pain...but could hear people talking and all sounds.

Is it that unusual? I had a crown done last year (first one ever) and I remember the dentist saying he was going to do a nerve block. I didn't ask for anything special or make any kind of fuss over it, it just seemed routine.

Yes...unusual for normal work like a cavity.

People driving around in igloo-mobiles. Yes, it's that time of year again.

Then, as chunks of snow and ice fly off towards your windscreen....... :banghead:

Lost two pairs of gloves in the last two weeks.  I just bought another pair of marmot ones from winners.  I WILL NOT lose them again.

On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Those are some interesting colors. What are you using for toothpaste these days?

Do you realize that in about 30 (updated as requested) years, we'll have millions of old ladies running around with tattoos?
