Here is a link with a map of Sun Country charging stations.  I don't know how many companies have set up stations in Canada but there have to be a few.

https://suncountryhighway.ca/ev-trip-planner/#.Up-ysuITV8E

Maybe Autos.ca could put you up in a 5 star hotel near one of these stations for the duration of the test.  Just trying to be helpful.

Cheers,
John M.

none of these are near us, but there is an office with a bank of solar-panel powered charging stations just across the 427 (they run a fleet of Volts), which are apparently free when not in use by the company.

Autos.ca will not be putting Jacob up in a five-star hotel. They have standards, y'know. ;D

Count me among those who would like to see more detail about the weightings of the categories and the individual scoring.

It would also be pretty simple to make things more visual, nobody likes scanning a 20-row table. I've mocked up a quick example, you could do this for all the specs (weight, price, etc) as well as the ratings.

I think most of these comparisons should end with multiple winners. Things like " If you love driving and  you're looking for the car that will put a smile on your face choose "X" or "If the best value in a reliable transportation appliance is what you're after then "Y" is for you."

I think these are implied in our write-ups, but I don't really want to start handing out 'participation awards'... the winner is the best overall according to our ratings... 6 - best efficiency, fun to drive, not necessarily the roomiest or most comfrotable, Fusion, fun to drive, not so efficient, PITA MFT... Accord, dull looks, lots of room, but smooth operator except the HondaLink.

hmmm, or maybe i do... participation awards can be funny...

with my recent shopping and reading / comparing back seat space, I thought of something useful.
there's a bike magazine that starts with laying out the reviewer's height.

I think this would be pretty useful on car reviews (I know some of them mention, but not all do)
Someone's size makes a huge impact on comfort

I found myself in the back seat of a Tacoma and I had decent space.
However, the person in front of me was 5'2"
If I set the driver's seat for my 5"9" frame and try and sit behind that, it's another story. (doable)

getting an idea of how far back a seat is really gives readers a better perspective of available room.

going into such detail might bog the reviews down, our seating tests are done with fairly average sized adults with front seats set for average adults as well, which is actually more demanding than most vehicles will need - you have to figure that rear seat passengers are more often children....

doesn't have to be a detail thing.  It could be as simple as having the writer have a height next to their name.   It would also (for some) place a better understanding on comments about head room, sight lines and overall comfort.

How about a picture of the an adult sitting in the car? Motorweek always has a clip with a person sitting in the front seat and then in the back seat. I found that to be helpful.

The average Canadian male is 175cm (5'9") just for reference. ;D

Didn't they (we) used to do that?  I seem to remember when (whoever - sorry) was in Wpg he used to add a pic or two of the front/rear seat with himself sitting in it. Maybe I'm misremembering.

Greg Wilson in Vancouver does that sometimes.

I mentioned it in the article but thought I'd put it in here just to be all official like... :)

The monthly payment guideline at the end of the SUV review I thought was awesome. I would suggest including another line for leasing and maybe drop the down payment all together.
