I'm going.  If anyone is in the area, please let me know.  We can meet for a beer/pizza/whatever and do some serious "benchracing".
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

This time we are going south around Parati or perhaps Ilha Bela. Have to decide next month. We have so many friends in the area of Sao Paulo so it makes sense to explore those towns.

What is everyone waiting to see at Detroit show?
Personally I'm looking forward to seeing the new Focus.

Focus and Fiesta and Mazda2 are the only interesting things here.

What's at the Mazda booth Wing, anything on the 16x?

Just the Mazda2 and their current showroom.

The show has I'd say half the cars it had last year, and last year was half the size of the year before.

Any info on the Mazda2 specs? Curious if they updated the interior as well.
By what I'm seeing in the pictures and read, the Lincoln MKX is an interesting vehicle to scoop out for the new gadgets. Do they have the updated Edge?
Does Mitsu have the Outlander Sport (RVR) although I doubt it?

I didn't even see Mitsu here!

Lots of manufacturers seem to be missing.  Not much on the Mazda2 I can swing by and take another look.  The Fiesta looks nice.

Is the regular Regal unlocked? Curious if it feels as good as they say.
Opinions on Cruze interior quality?

Fiesta is unlocked looks great!!!  Same as what I drove a few months ago, same as Euro version.

The Mazda2 is locked and windows tinted so you can't see in.  One is on a spinner but they won't let me in.

How do the Fiesta and the Focus compare? I'm wondering now if the Fiesta will be 'good enough' or if I should hang tight and wait another year for the Focus to come out.

I think the focus will clearly be better than the fiesta as it offers some premium features you cannot get in the fiesta.

GM in typical GM fashion had all their cars on turn tables locked away.  The focus just out did the cruze from I can tell which means GM is back wondering what is going on.

They like to say they are a changed company and their new products looks great but as muchas things change things stay the same.  At press conferences the first few rows are saved for execs not press and they do not want the press to really check out the cars at the show.  In contrast Toyota has prototype siennas on the floor you can go though.  I don't get it

Thanks. I guess I'll have to see how these pan out when they hit the street, and how badly I need a new vehicle.

The biggest difference for me is the platform, Focus being the better one. Fiesta has all the essentials and more as far as the features go; the Focus has even more. I for one, won't go for the new techy but useless (to me) features on the Focus. A mid-trim with some options or the top trim without options would most likely do it for me.
I'm sure you cannot go wrong with either one of them.
