squeak noise related to front brakes?
« on: October 14, 2023, 10:38:49 am »
hey all,

I have a 2012 Infiniti FX35 , 150k km. Since the beginning of the year, I've been noticing a "squeak" noise (the same noise when someone sits in a squeaky chair) that is more noticeable when going over bumps. It sounds like it's coming from the front left.

The mechanic thought it could be either the sway bar or bushings, but something interesting happened after I changed my front brakes.

The front brakes were last changed in 2018 and I just had them changed (pads and rotors) this month. The old shims had the rust removed and were re-used. The calipers and hubs were serviced. After the brakes were changed, the squeak noise is still there but much less often and a lot quieter than before.

My question is, given this info of the front brakes change affecting the squeak noise, what else could be causing the noise other than the sway bar or bushings?

Thanks in advance
