hehe, this is true. To wit, I always thought it would be kinda rad to drive a bizarrely mundane American car around the streets of Monaco, just because you could: e.g. a U.S.-built Accord, or maybe an old K-car  :P

I know you have difficulties with laws dictating your life,

I'm sure you were trying to be funny (or an outright dick), but I follow laws usually to a "T".

I merely take exception when those who are supposed to uphold those laws play loosey-goosey with them and it ends up impacting my Charter, privacy, etc.

I have a low tolerance for BS in this regard.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

ZL-1 is not an exotic car.  But, it does have quite a few of them for breakfast...

Neither the GT-R, Vette or even a 911 is "exotic". Are they fast, exciting and nice to look at, absolutely, exotic, no, you have to get into the Pagani, Buggati, Koenisegg(Spl??) for me to consider it exotic. Even most Ferraris or Lambos are exotic in my books.
And from my perspective, a BMW, MB, or Lexus is "exotic".  My use of the term was that which was a non-domestic, non-run-of-the-mill car.

I concur that the 3-series, for example, is not the most "exotic" thing out there, but comparatively speaking, I guess anything could be - that's why I said:

Perhaps also "exotic" was a misused term.

I don't think you need to go as rare and expensive as a fricken Bugatti to be considered "exotic" though.

And don't pull your lawyer reasoning with me. There's a well known metric for what's considered an "exotic car." Lambo, Ferrari, Mclaren, etc.

You have to put it to him in terms cognizable to his warped legal mind.

The two conditions he specified - being imported and not run-of-the-mill - are necessary but not sufficient to qualify an auto as an "exotic".

So if I import some craptastic Peugeot with a 1L diesel, its an exotic?? Its imported and definitely not run of the mill.....

Read his post again... necessary but not sufficient.
