On my, it's getting depressing!  I managed to get some kayaking in one day this week at Hammond River and it was surprisingly low for this time of year.  I'm sure the latest deluge helped raise that up a lot!

We were camping in our pop up in that :censor:.  It rained all Saturday, and was cold and miserable.  I'm glad I filled the propane on the trailer before we left, because we were running the heater quite a bit.  Luckily it cleared up enough for us to have fires both evenings.

Hit 35C here yesterday. With the wind, it was like standing in a hair dryer.

The back lawn is largely dormant. The front lawn is greenish. I water enough to keep some moisture in the ground, so the highly expansive clay doesn't move around too much.

At least the drought resistant plants in the flowerbeds look ok.

The ground is so dry it's shrinking (we have highly expansive clay soil here) and pulling the wires out of electrical entrances causing fires.

I think they said in July we've had 0.2mm of rain.

Ottawa has had 247 mm of rain in July.  And 130 mm in June. And 177 mm in May.

We've had a TON of rain.
