I'd have to see it in person, side by side. I've seen plenty of red Ferraris where the paint didn't make nearly the impression that the Mazda red does. (The cars themselves are impressive as hell, natch.)

Had I known in advance, my neighbour has a Challenge Stradale! Not sure if Rosso Corso or Rosso Scuderia though. Looks better without the boy racer stripe. Other neighbour has a 2006 GT-40, also red.

It’s an excellent colour but is susceptible to chipping easily. Mazda paint is very thin .

Best wrap that hood then.  It's got a lot of depth, visually, for thin paint.

Beautiful car, I think I'd go for an RF myself if I had a choice for the power hardtop. I actually like the PHRT from the NC generation - it is indeed a full power hardtop convertible and not a fastback.   

Car guys that dismiss the MX-5/Miata usually have never driven one, or are insecure about themselves.

Yeah, a slightly modded MX-5 can eat up the track, I've seen it first hand how they can carry crazy cornering speeds & run away on you.
