Pretty much all tests suggest the Camry is surprisingly quick, not just C&D.

Indeed.  Even the previous version with the V6 was very quick.

Yep.  It did sub-6 as well.  Even in beige.

The styling is way better than the previous generation but I prefer the style of the variant that is for sale in China.
IMO, the front and rear fascias of the Chinese variant seem more cohesive.  The rear lights of the North American version are very disjointed.

Actually it's not Camry. It's called "Reiz". Basically it's the Toyota version of lexus IS, although bigger. It's equipped with 2.5v6 or 3.5v6 and RWD!! So that's a really impressive fun car especially you modify its chasis.

I guess I was fooled by the Toyota emblem on the trunklid; it was the only marking I recognized as the car drove off while I quickly snapped the photos.  Nevertheless, my original comment about the ugly taillights on the NA version stands; too bad we don't get the Ukraine version as shown here http://www.autoblog.com/2011/08/25/toyota-ukraine-reveals-new-camry-for-other-parts-of-the-world/.  IMO it's a more elegant design.

Agree, RWD would be so sweet!

There is a lot to like in what Toyota has done, if you're in the market for this kind of car. For me though, it's a shame there's no 6 speed manual in the SE 4 cylinder. I know for most potential buyers that's not an issue and they'll sell tons of Camrys to tons of families and commuters.

Because there would only be like five people on the entire continent who would actually buy one. It's not worth certifying such a vehicle.
I'd never join a group that would have me as a member.

It looks like an older Lexus in fact..... Sweet ride tough. Nothing revolutionary. Use a proven Lexus design and sell it as a new car
