It's brand new.  Stars Kelsey Grammer as the mayor of Chicago.   He was recently diagnosed with a neurological disorder.  He intends to stay in power and keeps the sickness hidden so it won't hurt his political career.

I've only caught some of episode 2.  Pretty good, and is getting good reviews thus far.

I finished watching both seasons of Justified.  I am thoroughly enjoying this series.  Like you mentioned, really underrated!
IMHO the second season is even better and it as even more hillbilly drama. ;D The Kentucky backdrop is what makes this show great.  Big city cop shows are a dime a dozen and very few are worth watching.

Grammer's tyrannical Mayor Kane is fantastic.  I think it would have still been a great show without the neurological disorder.  I'm curious to see how the story unravels ... which is a good sign for a rookie show. Starz renewed it for a second season before the first one premiered.

Shameless anyone?  I only found it last season (not sure where they're at) but I thought it to be pretty good.
Love Big Bang Theory too.
Shameless (US series): The show's second season will premiere on Sunday, January 8, 2012 on The Movie Network in Canada.  Good show!

Big Bang Theory: Maybe it's just me but the first 2 seasons were so much better.  Now it's almost the Sheldon and Friends show.  When they let the other characters have a decent storyline (especially Raj), it improves the show significantly.

Six Feet Under - A great series that approached common issues from different angles.  The best finale of any series.

Agreed. Not a series for everybody's taste, though. Definitely in my top 3 list. And yes, a great finale.

Has anyone been watching Showtime's Homeland series?  I've heard good things about it but haven't watch any of it yet.  I'm a fan of Damien Lewis' work so I am thinking this might be a decent one to start watching.

Nope, no discount on TV.  I am with Expressvu and pay $90/mo.  Kids channels, sports package, and a couple of HD packages.  It certainly adds up quickly.  I can switch to fibre (like my internet) for TV but then you have to rent the stupid receivers.  I own 5 HD receivers outright so renting doesn't interest me in the least.

Btw, how are you feeling lately?

I also have 4 receives  do from 2000, so I really do not want to rent anymore

The knees are still swollen went for a walk around the block today

The pain is less now then before the scope  ;D

Hoping by the 12 th I can start going up and down ladders

That's good that the pain is lessening now.  I blew out my patella back in 2007 and I remember how painful it was.  I never want to go through that again.

Has anyone caught the new series on AMC called Hell On Wheels?  I just came across it tonight and it looks very good.

If it's anywhere near as good as Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead AMC will have another winner.  Hopefully this will be as good as Deadwood as well.

The Walking Dead
Hell on Wheels
Top Gear
Trashopolis
WW2 in HD
Greatest Tank Battles
Mythbusters
Powerblock television
Californication
Shameless

These are basically the only shows I watch with any regularity, besides that, I can usually find something interesting on National Geographic, Discovery or History.
Lighten up Francis.....

I watched that earlier this evening as well.  After that ending, I'm curious to see how the next season starts between Deb and Dexter.

I've caught the first two episodes of Hell On Wheels and am really loving it so far!  Where the heck did AMC come from??  Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, and now this.  I wasn't all that familiar with AMC prior to Breaking Bad so for me they just seemed to come out of no where and started producing top notch series.

I prefer to watch shows all at once so I usually wait until the move along to BD or Netflix.

Have watched and can recommend in no specific order.

Breaking Bad (Netflix) - I don't know anybody that hasn't like this one. Now waiting for S4 to port over to Netflix.

Californication (Netflix) - I really thought this was only going to be all T&A but its actually a really good show. I'm about a 1/3 of they way into S2 now.

Battlestar Galactica (Netflix) - Almost done S1, its good enough to keep watching so I will slowly work my way through these.

Arrested Development (Netflix) - I never saw it during its original run but this was one of the funniest shows I've ever scene.

Better off Ted (Netflix) - I like the writing style (a little Arrested Development mixed with Office Space?) always make for a good laugh.

Walking Dead (Netflix) - Took a chance on this one and ended up going through the first season very quickly. Sadly S2 isn't on Netflix yet.

Justified (Netflix) - Only a few episodes in but liking it so far. Will finish it up when I'm done some others.

Band of Brothers/The Pacific (Blu-ray) - Thought both were very well done. The quality on BD is tops so I bought both. I'll probably watch it again some time.

Still want to watch:
Six Feet Under
Dexter
Firefly

And I keep hearing that Battlestar Galactica was truly outstanding. I've been meaning to rent a season or two, but haven't got around to it.

+2 to Battlestar. I now have the whole series on DVD and just lent Season 1 to a friend in an effort to turn her to the dark side :insert low, gravely voice:  Oops, wait - that was another space series.

Serious though, it was worth watching.

I don't watch much TV.  In fact, I have no cable.  I watch off the net.

A friend got me onto True Blood on HBO.  Smart, funny, scary.  And I don't even like 'scary' or vampires.

My favorite to watch right now is The Good Wife on Global TV (I think originally CBS?)

Just watched the first episode of "The Firm", some serious talent in that show. (but I might have a thing for Molly Parker, Juliette Lewis and Tricia Helfer)  ;D

Starting watching Weeds. Pretty good and short seasons and episodes so it goes fast.  Also the star is very easy on the eyes

I first saw Damien Lewis in Band of Brothers and thought he was great. Then I saw him in Dreamcatcher and thought WTF?

Another really really good new series is Hell On Wheels on AMC.  It's a western type series that is filmed solely in Alberta.  AMC is really on a role with Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, and now Hell On Wheels.
