I don't think it's by design. Weird. 3/4" is very close to a 19mm socket. Do you know what lug nuts a Volt comes equipped with?

Definitively not by design! Someone, someday, put what it got the closet match under hand. Too late to test no my son's car but my guess it is 19mm, all the car is metric! I have to check mine.  Online part: Wheel Nut - GM # 9598708

Two of them might have lost the chrome cover? By the look of it that would change the size slightly

https://www.gm-volt.com/threads/lug-nut-refresh.338929/

Yeah, typical nut design to cheaper their cost imho, without accounting salt corrosion!

If its like the two piece lug nut design on my wife's old acadia, the nut underneath the chrome cover would start to corrode and cause the cover to bulge slightly. Really annoying and dumb design. Once a few of them started rusting/expanding I replaced them all with a once piece design.

I'll do the same next spring, I'll try to find solid piece nut as they were in the good old days  :shuffle:

Received 40 solid, 1 piece wheel nuts for son's Volt & mine

Congrats on new nuts!  ;D

Make sure you hide these ones from your wife this time, eh?

I should have checked a 'quick format' box. Oh well.. it could be done by the week end.  :-\

P.S.: 1% per 6-7 min. Should be done in 12 hours  :rofl2:

Against my better judgement, I ordered something from a QC business last night. QC businesses always seem to have a differing idea of what "quick or prompt" means in getting you what you ordered. In other words ALWAYS slow.

At the same time, I ordered something from ON and one from BC.

Update this morning:

ON and BC orders fulfilled and shipped!

QC? Still stuck at "order received".

Update just now at 720pm! QC parcel "preparing" for shipment!!

https://www.homedepot.ca/product/ridgid-18v-cordless-high-pressure-inflator-with-digital-gauge-tool-only-/1001547823

Availability is limited, had to go to Brampton to pick one up. Wasted 20 min with an ass-ociate trying to find one and then, while leaving, spotted them by the lumber dept. registers. Will post my impressions once I've tried it out.
P.s. $48.88 currently.

Confirm the gauge. Many are inaccurate

Confirm the gauge. Many are inaccurate

Manual says +/- 1psi and there is 1psi increments to set the pressure. Auto shut off mode is there too. I've got a good digital gauge for "fine tuning".

Now how much are those Hercules tires?  :P

Those things are super handy. I've got a similar one from Ryobi and it has been great. Much easier than wheeling my proper compressor around. Gauge on mine has been pretty accurate so far

30 bucks. has auto shutoff.
Website description is incorrect. According to video reviews it's a high pressure (160psi) and NOT a high volume or high flow inflator.
p.s. bare tool only.

Removed an old baseboard heater in the basement that hasn't seen heat in the 30 yrs we've been here.  Flipping breakers...it's off!!  Wait...what TF?  Flip another breaker...now it's off...what?
Turns out it was wired to two separate 15 amp breakers...so if my wife hadn't kept flipping after I said "Got it!"...there was still one live one!  Removed the heater and removed all the wiring from the panel on, too.  Facking crazy whoever wired this place.  Some breakers have 2 wires going out...one might be the kitchen and then the other to the bathroom upstairs.  On the same 15 amp breaker.  I've fixed a lot as I've freed up others...but damn...this was done by a "pro" back then?  :P ::)

2016 all season, front bed, rear kitchen, dinette slide, 26th footer.  Private sale, older couple, mint, higher end model.  Auto leveling, great lighting outside and in.  Located in my town!  Seller brought it over to my cottage that I had weeks earlier torn down so kind of urgent.

The people stored it in a drive shed on a farm, but because it was so wet the seller's 1/2 ton got stuck on the way out and sprayed muck over the front.  I should have water to the trailer by tomorrow.  Ontario Hydro came at 7:00 pm Friday and re-connected my storage building so I had 30 amps to the trailer and heat.

Seller had a custom cover made for.  Distribution hitch/anti sway not that I'll be towing it, but son probably will.  Seller ordered a new awning for it and when it arrives he'll bring it over.  Just a crazy deal.  Perfect seller.

I'll be starting a new thread on my final build.

Cool! Sounds like a great deal! Is that where you stay when you're working on the cottage?

I normally stay at my son's place which is next door where he has a separate apartment above the garage, but come summer you don't want to impose.  Besides my wife is with the grand kids a lot each day so some separation in the pm is necessary.  I got so lucky with this unit.  I saw it on Kijij. Sent message, he called within 5 minutes and I offered him full price over the phone.  Stopped in at his place on the way home and gave him $2K.  Price was  $19K and I would have paid $25K if that had of been the ask.  Nothing out there used other than your typical cheapo bunk models that are worn the heck out in just a few years by kids.  The other thing is that the front bedroom is totally walled with a proper door.  The farthest this trailer had been from Owen Sound was 70km.  It showed brand new.   I told him toss the queen mattress so I need a new one.  I should be in it by next weekend.

While not as grand, it's equally satisfying.

I finally got around to polishing the headlights on the Highlander.  It was the cloth ArmorAll one. Worked great on the passenger side, worked not as great on the driver's side.

Coincidence, I did the Tundras today also. Used 2000 grit sandpaper, followed by a cutting compound, then a polish. Results are pretty good but they’re not perfect as expected for a 17 year old truck.  Yours look better tortoise.

Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

I think the result in the photo is a little better than real life, but it's still a massive improvement.

It's an interesting system. No sanding, just scrubbing with a cloth that cleans up the oxidization. Then another cloth that applies a sealer.

Again, for 17 years it's pretty impressive.

Makes sense, sounds like a pretty lucky find, good sellers are hard to come by. I wouldn't mind a trailer like that, we don't have time for it these days, but once the kids are a little older it would be a good way to explore the country.
