Couple of Beach rides
« on: January 01, 2023, 05:28:27 pm »
Finally got around to posting a couple of GoPro vids of riding around in NB.  BTW, it's considered trespassing to ride on the beach...or so I've allegedly heard

A few days post Fiona on Miscou Island.  There is actually more sand on this beach than before the storm, at the cost of a beach around the point.

Took my wife to her favourite rock hunting spot.  Notice all the lobster gear washed up on the beach?

Really nice!  I could be convinced to ride off road if it meant riding on a beach.  :)

Beaches around my area are a mess and not from Fiona.  We had a big wind storm here just before Christmas that did way more damage to the Fundy coast than Fiona, but we didn't get the full force of Fiona here either.

A few days post Fiona on Miscou Island.

I've been subscribed to your YouTube channel for years.

We might take a ride out to Shippagan later this year. I want to do it on the BMW R1200 GSA LC; my GF wants to do it in the car.
What you won't find in my car is a coffee, cigarette and a cell phone. What you will find is a driver; imagine that, a driver in a vehicle. What an effing concept!

Nice little campground you could stay at if you make it all the way to the end.    https://campinglavague.com/en-ca/accommodation
R1200 would look right at home in the Miscou Lighthouse parking lot.  See a lot of bikes there, it's a destination ride on weekends.

I could, but my girlfriend could not. We'll likely stay in a B&B or with her relatives that live there.

Missed that back in 2003 when I drove right by Bathhurst on my way to the Cabot Trail, Newfoundland and Labrador on the KLR 650.

That looks like great fun indeed.

That's a nice looking camp ground in a very interesting part of the east coast.  Really nice stop on a motoring east coast adventure.
