Interesting!  Not what I expected you to end up with -- I thought we were going more retro style?  Regardless, congrats on the new wheels.  You must be super-stoked!  No more hills without a motor!   ;D

Congratulations! She's a beaut. The exhaust headers are sex.

I think Jaeger was always looking at more modern nakeds.

I did start with looking at the Indian Scout - and then some more retro standard bikes.  But it wasn't long until I settled on the contemporary sport-naked 600cc class.  I fixated on the Triumph Trident early, but availability of that bike was slim.  I expect I will be well pleased with this Honda for some time.

Hey man, that's a nice bike and the right colour choice.  Should be enough bike to keep you satisfied for a few years and shouldn't be too much of a handful.

Yep...liked these since they came out which is why I recommended it. Interesting styling and as Dkaz points out the header is part of the styling element.

Have not seen one in the wild in your color, so great choice!

You'll most definitely need a slip on! Nothing loud and ostentatious..just a teeny bit more mark to better appreciate the sound of Honda's I4.

Congrats!

The headers are the number one reason to get a naked 650. Good think it's all polished stainless steel too so the looks shouldn't degrade over time especially with a once in awhile repolishing.

looks awesome and a solid choice...that bike is definitely one of the tops in its class...being a Honda, it will also be trouble free ownership and if you decide to move to something different in a few years, easy to sell.

Any videos of you on one wheel?  The back, preferably.

Out of town today. First ride is tomorrow. Any one wheel action would be the result of a massive $@#&-up on my part. :rofl2:

What are you going to do with all that leather you bought?

I'd be more impressed with a stoppie! Especially so since the bike has ABS!!  [emoji23]

Thanks folks!

Well, the bike doesn't have 0km on the odometer any more.  Inaugural ride this morning.  A few observations / statements of the obvious.  :-X

1) Riding on the road is so very NOT like riding in a parking lot!  Also, the Pope is Catholic.  ;D  Definitely going to need several more rides before I start to feel comfortable.

2)  The bike is so freaking smooth.  I mean, I was short-shifting like the noob that I am, but seriously...  :o  Mind you, I did my test on a Suzuki TU250 - so compared to that vibey thumper, this was whipped cream.

3) Shifts are crisp and precise - very snickety.  Clutch is nice and light and easy to mudulate in the friction zone.

4) Almost impossible to stall this thing coming out of first gear at a stop.  I still managed, once.  :)

5) One of my perceived down-sides of the bike - weight - was an absolute non-issue.  The bike never felt anything other than responsive and agile.

6) I freaking LOVE riding a motorcycle!

So... any tips on removing sticker residue?  I tried alcohol.  It improved my mood but made no impression on the sticker gunk.
