« on: July 08, 2023, 12:27:18 am »
Friday was a great first day for the NHRA National Open at Rock Falls Raceway in Wisconsin. Matt Steen, of Marshall MN, does wonderful wheelies in his SS/K '66 Valiant, powered by a 273 cubic inch V8. Troy Coughlin Jr was the quickest Pro Stock car in testing, running 6.576 seconds at 207.78 mph.

Erica Enders defeated teammate, Troy Coughlin Jr, 2 wins to 1, Saturday at Rock Falls Raceway in Wisconsin to win their best-of-three match race.  The five-time NHRA Champ won the first two matches, running elapsed times of 6.60 seconds at a track-record speed of 208.68 mph and 6.62 seconds when Coughlin shook the tires.  Coughlin came back strong in the third round, besting Enders 6.59 to 6.60 seconds.

Steve Stockton had his supercharged Malibu running strong in Top Sportsman Eliminator.  He ran a personal-best of 6.80 seconds on Sunday.
