Nice going! We are probably going to get another snow storm in a few days for that!

Meanwhile, 1500km to the south.......I declare an end to the winter season. The one that never really happened. I put on the summer wheels/tires today, also took the opportunity to lubricate/inspect the various suspension joints, remove the salt/road crud best I could. Then did a wash. Then took a drive........"Wow that's a lot of road feel"........"Oh more grip than I expected....."  :drv2:

Of course, after I took this pic, the right side parking light (rings) went out. Not really a biggie, but will tackle that another week, which annoyingly involves taking off the wheel. How many times am I going to be jacking up the car this month......sheesh.

Lucky guy! I can't even THINK of taking the winters off until at least May and even then.......... ;D

It is unusually early for me too, about 3 weeks before I normally switch (begin Nov - begin March). But thanks to global climate change....#réchauffement

May?  Your not that north! You see steady double digits in April.

Here, there is a habit of late April, after everything is melted and most people feel safe enough to take their snows off, we get a 2 or 3 day dumping and everyone goes "What happened?" and of course the answer is same as every other year but they act like it's something new. :rofl2:

Sometimes we get a snow fall as late as May 24th weekend but nothing serious. Just cold drizzily and sometimes wet snow enough for a coat of surface slush. Pretty normal really.

Your in the Owen Sound area right?

About an hour South. I think one thing that affects our weather is that we're the highest point in Ontario. We can literally drive 5 km in any direction and have completely different weather.  :rofl2:

I c hanged my appointments in Toronto back in December telling them that January was just a bad time for me to attempt to get to Toronto. I think they thought I exaggerated and if I had kept the appts, I wouldn't have made it as Toronto was fairly mild and we were without power and freezing rain/ice everywhere with 120 km/h winds. :rofl2:

I also have regular appointments in Newmarket and I'm not sure they get it either. I can leave Newmarket on dry roads and sunny skies and 10 km from home be in white out conditions down to 40 km/h with the 4 ways on.  :rofl2:

Still. It's not a big deal, just something we accept and get used to.

Spent some time at my grandmother's place. Uncovered the SS and started it up to let it run for a bit, also spent about an hour detailing some of the engine bay (got about 1/4 of the way done). My dad & brother were there tinkering with an E-type project they're working on.

Spring needs to come faster!

I was half way through installing the new front disc brake kit on my buggy when I realized I'd bought the wrong brake kit.  :-[

Seems there are two kits available.  One kit comes with caliper brackets and the other doesn't.
I bought the one without the caliper brackets.  :P
Luckily, I can buy the brackets separately, so I don't have to buy another complete kit.  That would have really sucked.
Now my install is on hold until the brackets arrive.

Changed oil and filters in the Outback and the pickup.  Couple jugs of Castrol Edge.  Now I have to lookup how to reset the sensor in the truck.

Hopefully fixed the loose connection in a engine connector on the Subaru, it was giving check engine light for a O2 sensor heater.  We'll see.

Replaced burnt parking light bulb for the rings. The first gen design is a b*itch to replace: wheel off, remove wheelwell panel, unwedge cap to housing for parking light bulb, remove 2x small screws. Takes an hour- did this couple years ago for the other side.

What a PITA. Bulb from ZKW (Österreich /Austria) is 50$.

Put a new set of wiper blades on the wife's car today.  Michelins from Costco.  I find they work equally well winter and summer.

The headlights are Austrian, not the same as German.

What about the process of removing wheel, wheelwell panel, etc to reach the light bulb? I assume that was the result of German engineering?
