I got 430 km on the last tank in the van.

Well, it wouldn't have gone much further, was down to 1/4 tank. I know how to make you feel better. It takes 100 litres or so to fill it when really down.

My XJ was good for about 300km after I smushed the gas tank coming off of a boulder. 450km after the new tank lol

Delivering kegs today and the gas light comes on with only 367 KMs on the tank.   

I guess the level of anger is relative to the size of the tank.

Preparing my tax return, turbo tax has new section about properties sold.  Asks for "total proceeds of disposition".

Since calgary real estate market has been cooling i lost money but i cant put in negative number.... Fack.

Proceeds of disposition is how much you sold it for, not your profit or loss on the sale.

I'm once again mulling over selling my rental condo, ugh, hate being a landlord.  Prices for condos here are starting to creep up just a tiny bit from a good sized drop.  The tax bill will be more than worth having it gone.

I've thinking of selling my apartment building as well.  I just don't have the time for it now and it would be one thing less I'd have to deal with. The market sucks here though and I hate the thought of selling it in down market.

I see all these opportunities for me!  Property manager of the building, worker bee at the new brewery... that 12 hour commute would be brutal!  Any seasonal contracts?  Like in the slow months of Dec-April?  :-)

You could move there and get a really good deal on a house.Probably get the same house for half of that.

You could move there and get a really good deal on a house.Probably get the same house for half of that.

Just looked this up . I guess it is something new for the 2016 tax year. The equity from the sale of  a principal residence is not taxable.Any interest,dividends,or capital gains earned by investing the equity is taxable. As of 2016 you are required to declare the property sale on your tax return for the year of sale. They just want a number. bastards
