Yes, it does, but that is the only difference between the two other than their physical size of course.  The Mini's speaker is good enough for casual listening.  The larger speaker has a better low end, and works better at parties (more people, louder) imo.

And if people want better sound quality than either the home or mini offer, Google has allowed speaker companies to integrate their service into their portable speakers. There should be some better choices for same or slightly more money.

No but if you’re having this issue outside it’s because your wireless signal is week. You should get a booster or a hotspot for you side use.
This is happening Inside the house
Too facking cold to go outside  ;D

Still the same answer. Move it to another location and see if that changes anything. Could be sitting in a dead zone.

I actually have my place completely automated with Apple HomeKit compatible devices. About 15-20 light switches, front door lock, motion sensors, outside pot lights, garage door opener and lighting in the garage, smart thermostat, etc. I also have a Google Home that I got as a non-exchangeable gift that I use for a few tasks and as a Bluetooth speaker. I did a ton of research on both these systems and the Apple infrastructure works for me because all my devices are on it.

There's no real point getting into the Apple vs. Google debate, but what I can chime in with is that both these systems are more user-friendly and idiot-proof than Alexa.
