Now THAT'S an iPad glued onto the dash.

i could only glance in from the locked door and i just couldn't get over how cheap the interior set up looked in person.  and that's the "premium" interior. that iPad thing stuck there in the middle makes it look like it's still in prototype stage.... which i guess it still is.   ::)  this thing is going to be low 70s with the dual motor....  if the conservatives kill that 14k dollar giveaway i can see a load of buyers bailing.

Yeah, there is absolutely NOTHING about that interior that looks "premium" to me.

Needs aluminum pedals.  ;)
But yeah, anything over 50 grand I expect to come with a long list of standard features, ventilated front seats being at the top.

Features is one thing, but that interior looks like crap in general.  But speaking of features, does the III even have a radio?  I certainly don't see one, or is it somehow built into the screen?   ???

Why no buttons ? I don’t get it. I makes no sense at all.  Does it have a hologram display for speed in the windshield.l ?
Nope...speed on screen iirc.

I hope the picture is just poor, because it looks really low-rent.  The expensive Teslas don't have fit and finish that live up to their prices, but that is really crappy looking.  Fingers crossed it's a lot nicer in person.

I meant to ask that same thing earlier.  Where the fack is the speedo?  Do folks really need to look to the right to that screen to see how fast they are going?  Epic fail.  I really want to like Tesla but I just can't.....not with BS like this.

your right, its all on the left side of the screen.  You have to even use the screen to open the glove box!  This is suppose to be advancement?

Yep!

The guy who was in the accident couldn't open his glove box to get his insurance and ownership out to give to police because his screen got broken.

Glad i put in to cancel my Model3 reservation. That interior is not good.

I wonder how many others are going to bail?

What made you cancel?  Are you going with another EV?

Also, $60k?  I thought these were supposed to be cheap. Like Honda Accord cheap.

I didn't think they'd be Accord cheap in that you'd be able to buy one for $28K, but I thought $40K was going to an actual selling price.  Honestly though, the $28K base Accord is a lot nicer.  The $21K Corolla is nicer.

I assume many.

What made me cancel is seeing the final interior and how un-ergonomic it is, and how idiotic many of the "tech" goodies are. I could handle a speedometer in the middle of the dash with the MINI, but not some digital numbers in the corner of a screen. Nope. Plus that steering wheel is hideous.

That was on top of the production problems and delays coupled with the lack of quality control. If I was to ever get one, I would, knowing my luck, get one put together on a Friday afternoon that would have no end of issues.

I really wanted to give Tesla a shot, give them the benefit of the doubt. I like their mission statement. I like where their head is at in terms of the future of transportation. I was willing to put up with some inconvenience for long trips for the gas savings [down to zero] and the lack of pollution out the tailpipe. But I will NOT buy a substandard, "weird for wierd's" sake car for the price of an FGC. I was going to get a base model, which would come to about $45k after rebate etc. After seeing the detailed pics and endless videos of the car, I am not impressed.

I will be much happier with a Volt thanks until a 250+mile range EV is ready for prime time. With our driving, we would be 90% EV mode anyways.
