My take on the proliferation of all weather tread patterns is this: Tire industry has been hammering the message of winter tires. At this point the people who want to run them do and the ones that don't won't. At this point manufacturers developed all weather tires to cover the people who don't need or won't run winters. The only drawback I can see from these new all weather revolution is quicker wear. Is running a quick wearing all weather worse cost wise than running a summer/winter setup? No idea but for sure it is much less hassle.

I will check this one since available in the right size even if its UTQC is on the low side.

I asked a quote to my local mechanic on these one, his supplier told him unavailable and not the right selection for my car!
I will try Monday with another tire shop ... and why not, maybe inquiry directly to the manufacturer to validate if unobtanium.

Also, yearly oil change done at Chevy dealer, deprogrammed both fobs to cancel all windows down command.
Inspection found electric parking inoperative: electric portion works but cable broken at the splitter Y section, need to be replace (next time I go).

See many new Blazer EV, very few Hummer EV on site but no Equinox EV yet, at least I did not spot any.

Into the 3rd year on CC2 on the Outlander. Both summer and winter were done and thinking I will replace the car in the next year or so I didn't want to buy 2 new sets so I went for the compromise. The tires are good no doubt for most conditions including wet and dry cold, BUT not in snow/ice/slush... After 2 full seasons plus a summer, I ended up buying winters last fall. What prompted the decision was  a drive during one of the bigger snowstorms the winter before. The car was all over the place with TC kicking in frequently, which is something I've never experienced before with this car. In retrospect, with the mild winter we've had, the CC2 would've been fine.

If you run winters, I think there are better 3 season tires out there. Personally I like the Michelin for their longevity in addition to other quantities, but there are many good options to pick from.

I had similar experience before with 2 sets of Nokian WR - good for 2 full seasons and then no good in any season.

B15 service for the Civic today including an oil and filter change, coolant drain and fill and a transmission oil drain and fill.

I've followed the Honda maintenance minder for all fluid changes, etc. except for the transmission which I've done much more frequently. It has a known weak link with 2nd and 3rd gear synchros but over 250k and engine and trans still running like a well oiled machine. *knock on wood*

Brake and clutch fluid replacement up next when I do the seasonal tire change. Gonna wait a few more weeks for that though...

Bunch more small jobs on the Green Firebird to get it ready to log some miles. Fluids and filters, replaced both headlight motors and cleaned/painted the assemblies, new trunk lift supports, wiper blades, floor mats, etc. Also, mounted the license plate with one of my old DoubleClutch.ca plate frames.

Also gave the DTS a much deserved wash and a coat of black Wax.

Did the summer changeover and rear brakes on the GS-350 yesterday.  Also gave it a wash and wax.  Didn't have any iron removal spray on hand so I had to use a clay bar to remove the iron dust.  Not a fun job!   :P

Huh...I think I misses the S&S on the Formula...

I just dropped the Fusion off at the body shop to get the rockers done.  Reached under the car to show him...and it's feckin' powder.  Told him if it starts to burn while they're welding on it...just push it outside.  ;D  Probably gonna be a couple grand...on a car that's worth a couple more...and if not for those rockers, would be in 100%...90%...ok, maybe 85%...I think it needs brakes, again...or at least new calipers 'cause the rear ones sound like they be draggin'...but w/brakes and fixed rockers, it'd be a clear 95+%er in terms of shape vs age.

Drove the Green Firebird to work today, furthest I've driven it thus far, about 30 miles. Car did great, no issues at all, except for the fact that tall gearing, headers with big exhaust and a convertible top make for a very noisy cabin. Not much of a commuter car  :D

No problem. Now you owe me one of those fantastic detailing and wax jobs.

Sure, just bring it by my place  ;D

You got me thinking about it though, so I checked the RPO codes and the stock gears were 3:23 (which was the 'performance' option), but playing with an online calculator is looks like someone put 3:73's in it....which explains the highway RPM. Car pulls HARD off the line, which is fun, but I do a lot more highway driving these days...Might swap back someday once the rest of the car is the way I want it.

Well it did have drag stickers. Should be reasonable to swap gearset.

Yeah, gearset swap is no biggie. I gotta tackle the interior/paint cleanup first, and get the A/C working first.....No A/C is just not going to work around here. We've already been flirting with 90F earlier this week

Looks great.  The Mach-E looks have grown on me.
