Can't justify the price on that baby as much as I love it.  $20K+ for a bike is a bit too dear for me.

That they do for sure.

I fell into the remarkable good luck of getting the S1000R to play with this week.  The refinement level is remarkable, yet still a volatile powder keg of power.  Oh the sweet, free-revving, addictive power...   >:D

Uhh... anyway, the point being that this thing is around $16k, and while not as light and raw as the KTM, your'e still getting a wildly fun naked bike with gobs of power, and some niceties to boot (trip computer, heated grips, cruise control!)

That alone justifies the price IMO.  The KTM is nearly 40 pounds lighter, which is an incredible weight disparity in motorcycling for bikes in the same class.  The KTM also has 20+ more HP.  It's also better looking IMO.

The supposed CDN pricing is $18K.  So $2K more than the BMW...and worth every penny.

For me, personally, $20K (after taxes) it too much for a bike....as much as I love this thing.  If I wanted to spend an extra $20K on something, I'd be rolling around in a 911 TT.
